Eagles game, anyone going? and what to wear
 

Alright,

So this is the biggest game of the season (until the week after when we have a playoff game). Playoff implications are on the line. Philly is 2 hours away. But are a lot of us going to go to the game? I am actually visiting friends in Philly for New Years and I was thinking about going however:

1. Will I be able to wear Redskins gear, or would you guys advise against it due to the pathetic, bitter Philly fans.

2. How many Redskins fans will be there. I know last year when we were basically out of it, many Eagles fans came to DC.

3. at [url="http://www.greatseats.com/"]www.greatseats.com[/url], They have tickets at $95/ticket for Upper-Level yard line seats and on up to lower and club levels. Plus on today's orders they are offering free shipping with promo code: playoffs. I think Friday's orders you have to get the seats will-called, but that's free as well.

4. If a lot of people here are going, will there be a place for TheWarpath to tailgate?

Don't wear any gear!!!! The Philly fans will either beat your ass or throw shit at you...sickening, but that is the way they are.

I recommend against it. This will be one of the drunkest Philly games ever (they have nothing to root for, it's New Year's Day, and there's an [URL=http://www.mummers.com/]alcohol-fueled parade[/URL] in town. Those who show up will be about nine sheets to the wind, and won't know right from wrong.

I saw an ebay order for 5 club seats and two parking passes for $500. There's plenty out there.

Wow this is crazy. My stubborn side wants to wear Skins gear, but now I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and be a non-fan.

Come on people. I can't believe you guys (and girls?) are that scared. They came to our stadium last year with their stinkin' green Jerseys singing that stupid 'Fly Eagle Fly' song. I'm going, sitting in section 113. I do plan on wearing maroon and gold. Just don't get confrontational with them. The lower bowl is not quite as bad as the upper deck as the lower bowl ticket holders had to purchase seat licenses and are a little more well behaved. The upper deck is a little rougher. I also believe there will be more then a few Redskin fans there.

Wear your Redskins gear with pride! It won't be that bad at this game because the Egales suck now! But buy good seats and hire a few security guards you'll be fine.

I live in Philly and everyone is asking what am I wearing. So I am going to the game with another Skins fan from Delaware and I am not wearing Skins gear because these fans are crazy. I am not afraid of anyone, but if I go to jail over some stupid fan because I concaved his face, who is going to bail me out?

Would someone let me know if there is going to be a gathering of Redskins fans before the game?

I went to a philly game, it actually wasn't that bad...I went with a philly fan, and they kicked our ass, so maybe that had something to do with it...but I wore my Smoot jersey and cheered the skins...unfortunately for that game, we didn't have much to cheer.
I would use caution at this weekends game, the fact that they have absolutely nothing to play for will play a large part in the amount of alcohol they consume....alcohol breeds stupidity...good luck have a blast, cheer the skins in to the playoffs...just do it respectfully...

someone posted a thread at that concrete field or whatever website thats just awful. But I did see an article saying Eagles fans are selling tickets in record numbers to brokers right now -- they also said skins fans were snatching them up like crazy. So I wouldnt be too afraid this week.

Due to lack of information, the FED EX NORTH tailgate is being moved from Lot U to Lot D as in Dynasty! I just got off the phone with the Iggles and they said there is no tailgating in lot U, even though people do tailgate in those lots. The only tailgating lots are the Wachovia Center lot, the Lincoln Lot and the East lot which is private parking. I will be set up somewhere in the D lot and I'm trying to get my hands on a flag pole. The Lots DO NOT open up until 11am, so I plan on being there by 10. I will send out a mass e mail with my cell # in case anyone can't find us. We will most likely be in a Burgundy Ford F150.

I'll be there in my black & white Redskins hoodie. I live in the Philly area and have been two a number of games with my colors on. I have been fortunate enough to avoid violence but then again I ain't punk. I only came close to throwing blows once. I warn my fellow Skins fans to be on the cautious side but stick your chest out bravely. The Iggles fans have the wind gone out of their defleated ego and they won't be as "rowdy" as when they were sitting on top of the world.

P.S. I'll be at Chickie & Pete's for the early games getting some "kerosene" in my tank for the game.

I was told that they actually have a jail at the bottom of the stadium to hold people untill the authorities can come and get them. Is this true, or is it acutally true for all Nfl Stadiums?

It was cool. I sat in Sec 115 with TEXASSKINS. We were 10 rows up from Momma Portis so we saw a smidgeon of that altercation. The guys we were around weren't that bad but I had to let this chick know that as a REDSKINS fan I'm from that tribe south onf Philly called the SLAP-A-HOE.

She was drunk and rude but other than that they we're pretty tamed....especially after the beating.
