Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)

I forgot what version we're on

So anyway, lots of rumors tonight that the Bengals will be this year's Hard Knocks team

Just what they need. They can shoot Cops simultaneously.

Didn't the Bengals do one already?

The Bengals aren't that exciting head case team that they used to be. But Hard Knocks with the Bengals is better than no Hard Knocks at all.

I definitely wouldn't agree with it.

For a team that hasn't been able to get out of the first rd of the playoffs I need to see a lot more before I'd even call them the best team in their division.

Yeah, the Ravens to me are still better than the Bengals.

Bengals should be pretty good again but I don't see them better than NE or Den

I said they were a playoff team the beginning of last season, but several things need to happen to in order to say they are the best right now. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would have to pass away suddenly.

AFC North, yes. Still put them behind the Broncos overall in the AFC though. They need to overcome the playoff monster this year.. Dalton is still a bit of a question mark, does he have a next level or are we seeing his ceiling? They remind me of 2009-2010 Houston. Time to take the next step.

It's unfortunate that they can reach a large amount of people when they are clearly not capable of distinguishing a good idea from a bad idea.

That was quick. I don't feel bad for them, despite the fact they've apparently been hosting that show for years. Honestly kinda sounds like they were done anyway, their dismissal just came a few months early. It's probably a smart move by 790 The Zone to just distance themselves from this as quick as possible anyways.

So. Mr Johnson wants to play in the NFL again. I wouldn't mind signing him for some good competition. We would only put him on the 53 man roster if he was spectacular(I wouldn't count on it). Can you put a clause in a contract that says if you get in trouble with the law, your pay is forfeited?

I wouldn't bring him in. I feel like, in his better days, CJ got by on his athleticism, not by how hard he worked, and since his athleticism is mostly gone, and he never was the epitome of a hard worker, he really wouldn't bring any value to the team. The only thing he could do at this point is show the younger guys how to work hard and prepare, and I don't think he'd be the best guy for that. If he was anything halfway to spectacular at this point in his career, one of his previous franchises would've kept him.
TL;DR: Don't bring him in.

Johnson is done. At this point TO would probably get a call from a team long before he would.

Chico, read the sentence directly after what you put in bold. I understand where you're coming from, but just for competition, I think it's a good idea.

We just signed Henderson and Stallworth for that. And they both come with zero baggage compared to CJ.

I got what your saying and understand your reasoning, sorry to be a lil abrupt. I just believe with the circus act he brings its not worth it. Chad Johnson is all about Chad Johnson, I dont think he has love for the game to go out there and compete at a high level everyday.

While I dont want CJ to be signed, I dont know how you can call a DUI manslaughter charge no baggage, compared to CJ or not. Other than his first 3 or 4 years in the league, Stallworth has never played 2 years in a row with the same team. He was a first rounder and was given time by the Saints, but even they gave up on him when he was still in his prime. He was traded for a fourth round pick and a LB who is more known for kicking a PAT instead of his play at LB.
