Redskins record last year and this year
I think given the state of Jay Gruden's less than .500 career record I look at 7-9 last year and perhaps 7-9 this year...a fair question to ask would be....what would the Redskins record have been in 2017 and 2018 WITHOUT ALL OF THE INJURIES ?
Let's discuss.... |

They cost us 2-3 wins this year and last

Without the injuries they are a 10 win team probably. Problem is the amount of injuries are starting to look like more than bad luck. While many are obviously not preventable somewhere something isn't right. Too many times I watch games and see two Redskins hurt for every one of their opponents.

Let's discuss....[/quote] That's not how football works. The Redskins need to build a complete team to have success. For some reason, this team decided that they would have a 3rd string backing up Lauvao at LG instead of finding a replacement. You could point to this screw up as one of the reasons we are on our 4th QB. Nick Foles, Tom Brady, and Doug Williams are guys that became Icons because they seized an opportunity caused by injuries. Next seasons injuries to Chris Thompson, Paul Richardson, and Jordan Reed aren't the result of bad luck a 3rd year in a row. Some guys just aren't built to play 16 games in a season but our team does not recognize this. I'm tired of this front office and coaching staff making excuses for not winning. Re: Redskins record last year and this year
Look injuries happen but we just put #24 on IR today, that’s 2 full units!
Two broken legs to our QBs... that’s not normal or even preventable. I know people want to say well just don’t sign injury prone guys. It’s football, everyone has an injury history and is pretty much guaranteed to suffer a major injury at some point. There’s a point where no matter how deep you are it’s going to drag you down. All the games Jordan Reed missed was absurd....there has to be a true reason as to why players keep getting hurt...practising too hard? Not practicing hard enough? Could it be the players are not in good enough shape? Whatever the reason it's causing us to have losing seasons. |

Re: Redskins record last year and this year
Lack of adjustments, poor timing within playcalling, coaching, personnel decisions and scheme cost us the wins, not soley injuries. I'm not buying it.

That article sums it up....with all of the injuries, fan dissatisfaction, the drama in the locker room, low ticket sales for home games, the Rueben Foster shit, Dan Snyder not having a clue etc etc etc....this is like Fatal Attraction mixed with Eddie Murphy Raw....it's that type of krazy fiasco with the Redskins.... |
Re: Redskins record last year and this year
Everyone has injuries. Tired of hearing this as an excuse. How about you stop bringing in and drafting guys w/ a history of getting injured. Example, they signed Richardson knowing he had a history of being hurt and what happened? He got hurt. That's poor management.

Agree. Strength and conditioning, how the team warms up and practices, and the field is one of worst in the league.... |
Re: Redskins record last year and this year
It’s not an excuse to say we’ve been crippled by injuries the past two years. Two QBs break their legs? How many guards did we go through? It’s not quite as easy to say stop bringing in injury prone guys. It’s football, everyone at this level has had injuries.
We do need to examine everything we do from mini camps through the regular season when it comes to strength and conditioning. Obviously something isn’t right when it’s been this significant of an issue for 2 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Redskins record last year and this year
Even Keim was saying today that poor team roster management of the LG and a lack of interior Oline depth was something that has come back to bite the skins again.
It’s like Keim was reading my posts from the summer |
