The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread

Actually, sadly, it's usually never too soon with this franchise.

We have 2 more losses coming up and the Cowboys are looking like they'll run away with the division.

As per every year, we have tons of holes to fill. No 5th round pick as of now.

9: R1 P9 - QB Malik Willis - Liberty
41: R2 P9 - LB Devin Lloyd - Utah
73: R3 P9 - S Daxton Hill - Michigan
111: R4 P9 - CB Roger McCreary - Auburn
188: R6 P9 - WR Tre Turner - Virginia Tech
228: R7 P9 - OT Austin Deculus - LSU

Have you seen Wilis play? I am curious about him.

No, not a full game at least. Just mainly highlight films.

We do, but you are never going to fill every need. You just need a good QB period. There have been plenty of times this season and last season that a good QB makes a difference.

If you're going to have shitty QB play, of course you are going to feel like we need to fill every hole this team has. But the problem is that we do not have a good QB. We never had a good one in a LONG time, and we don't have one right now.

Read alot of very intriguing shit about him. Honestly though im going secondary all fucking day. We literally need 4 new guys back there. Inside lb’s who can cover also. Poor coaching is evident but even I could have played that hail mary better.
If you take a look at our team the glaring weakness is our back 7. On offense we don’t have an immediate problem (qb I need to see a whole season of TH - i know, i know - but seen so many good plays too - and Fitz?) like we do on d.

Gotta fix that back 7 on D. Priority numero uno.

Nope. We need a QB. Again, this "we need to fill every hole" thinking is not smart IMO.

This year we have teams with lots of needs, who are trotting out talented rookie QBs, and they make a difference.

Good QB play can fix a lot of things.

It is depressing putting up a draft thread in Oct. Idk if we even have the right leadership to pick the correct players. We need a QB. End of discussion. The position needs to be strengthened. We are desperate. I would not close any door, not on Watson, Tua or someone in the draft. Justin Herbert is really fucking good. We need a stud like him and no more bums on defense.

It is a league now where offense wins, not defense. You need a great offense and bend and not break defense.

If Watson is cleared of his mess, I would be willing to give up the next two to three years' 1st rounders and whatever the Texans want for him.

Mentioned him in some other thread. Right now they are saying this draft is weak for quarterbacks but watch. There will be a few that start garnering even more attention. Corral is definitely one of them.

My biggest problem with one of them coming here is our coaching staff. We could make an established veteran look like shit. How the hell are we going to help a guy who has so much to learn? We need to draft the absolute surest thing at a position of need as possible, and hope he figures it out on his own.

I’m all for drafting but at right cost I don’t mind using a 15th pick to draft a qb slated for late first round. In fact I’d prefer that to gambling and trading back and possibly getting scooped.if it is weak class so be it

They cannot draft a QB with their first pick JUST because they need one, the last thing they need is another Ramsey, Campbell, or Haskins for crying out loud. Chances are they will have a top 10 pick, it needs to be a starter from day one...plenty of holes to fill so if there's a QB they love there then great, if not...pick the best player and move forward. I will bet they try to get another vet QB such as Derek Carr.

Corral would need to add major weight, that dude would get killed in the NFL

Why would Raiders give him up?

6'2" / 205?

He's not Josh Allen, but I think his stature is similar to several QBs currently in the league. B Mayfield, L Jackson, K Murray, and our very own Heinicke, are some who come to mind.

He'll be alright.
