Re: Draft Thoughts - The Post-Haynesworth Edition

They never have because they've always picked 25 or higher over the past decade and it's to costly to move up. it's also worth mentioning that there weren't many years they had two second round picks at their disposal with this many needs. this year they need youth at OT's and many different defensive positions. The first 15 picks will be loaded with OT's, DE's & LB's. Look at the trade they just completed with Cassel...wasn't their brightest moment! I say pursue it cause there isn't another team that has multiple 2nd rd picks that draft after us in the 1st, and with the depth of this years draft I don't see any team giving up a 2nd rd pick if they only have one. It would mean loosing out on two potential starters for one high priced draft pick. We'll see, but we can always dream! It's good to be here...expect to hear alot from me over the coming months!

My latest Mock has us getting Mack in the first, and then Lawrence Sidbury in the third round.

The alternative would be Sintim or Maualuga or Laurinaitis (or even Tyson Jackson) at 13 (Cushing is gone as well as the big four), and then Jonathon Luigs in the third, whose still available.

Mach at 13? Seriously?

All about Sidbury though. Hell yeah. I'd like to think we could get him in the 5th but doubt he falls that far.

I like the way you think GTripp. Though I prefer the first, either way it looks like a good plan.
