Packers missing their two best WRs today due to COVID and being replaced by two WRs that have had two offensive snaps all season.

If they even keep it close, it will show you how great 12 really is

I picked up Cobb in a few of my FF leagues. He should be in for a high volume target night. Or they could just lean heavy on the run game.

Announcers were making GB red zone defense sound stout because they kept us out 4 times. Then AZ runs in untouched from the 10 yard line.

We just sucked.

Both these teams are really good. Nfc playoffs should be fun af.

I hate good match ups on Thursdays. This should be a match up enjoyed with full rest. Instead we get short week. Vanilla game plans and injury prone Thursday game.

Really good game. Shame to see it end in such a weird and anti climatic way.

Re: Around the NFL week 8

Both teams 7-1.

Could you imagine the Redskins/WFT being 7-1? I cannot. That's a possibility for like 28 of 32 teams. We're the other 4 teams.

7-1 and 6-2 aren't even actual options for the Fightin' Snyder Shits.

You give us 5-3 and we would be having kool-aid parties. Shithead has us so far down in the dumps that we would beg for a 5-3 record.

5-3 are kool-aid parties, 4-4 we are happily settling. That's a pretty reasonable scale. Good teamwork FS!

It's sad that 5-3 is our idea of an amazing start, and it's basically a pipe-dream.

Re: Around the NFL week 8

Rodgers is the MVP so far for me, that just shows that he can literally win with anyone at WR. As of right now, I got GB / TB in the title game again.

Also yes it would be amazing to have a team 7-1 but we have never had a QB for that to happen

AnonEmouse 10-29-2021 08:40 AM

Re: Around the NFL week 8

I get your meaning but I wouldn't describe Randall Cobb as just anyone. He's a solid #2 on pretty much any team and in just over 10 years has averaged near 700y a season.

skinsfaninok 10-29-2021 08:45 AM

Re: Around the NFL week 8

He is but he's also past his prime years. When you look at #3 WR's around the league Cobb isn't considered to be one of the best guys. They also lost their TE , Kudos to Lefleur too, he called a great game

AnonEmouse 10-29-2021 10:33 AM

Re: Around the NFL week 8

Actually that's one spot that surprises me with GB. Tonyan is OK but he can disappear for whole games. Given they've had one of the best QB's in recent memory, they haven't had a really good TE since arguably Finlay or maybe as far back as Franks. The best QB's usually have a very good TE or 2 in their best spells but Rodgers seems to have gotten by without one for a long time. Then again, despite winning the division multiple times, he's only taken them to the SB once. Surprising TE doesn't seem to have been a priority for them.

Lefleur did well but had some head scratchers too. Why wasn’t Dillon in when they were pushing ball up the middle at goal line? That is his bread and butter not Jones

Rodgers for the most part has always had just one good WR, except maybe when he had Nelson and a younger Cobb. Right now he has one of the best in D. Adams, but not much else behind him.

Part of his beef with the team is that they have not invested in offensive weapons for him or have missed in some of these draft picks.

And they haven't won a SB with Rodgers since he had those weapons. A QB can't do it all by themselves.

Exactly, GB refuses to invest on their offense, and people wonder why Rodgers is unhappy.

Speaking of terrible front offices, the Texans are stuck with Watson, surprise, surprise.

if we are talking mvp, stafford has to be in the conversation this year. It would have been unfair if we would have landed him, and wasted his last few years. He is excelling with the rams. Really showing how good he is, and how bad detroit is as a franchise.

If we had landed Stafford, Terry would be the leading WR in the league and we'd have a better record, even with our crappy defense.

This all day.

We would be a playoff team IMO. The dynamics of a team when operating with a top 10 qb completely change. Case in point the Dallas Cowboys. Of course you have to have talent built around him…ie Stafford on the Rams vs Stafford on the Lions

I dont know...I feel like even if we land a top qb, we still manage to fuck it up somehow. Injury, likely. Or just not gameplanning with a top qb in mind.
I'm totally doom and gloom when it comes to our team.
i believe the saying goes...we could even fuck up a wet dream.

it really hurts to see mcvay coaching so well with the rams. we had him in house, and let him go in favor of letting gruden/snyder run this team into the ground. im just seeing his play calling and schemes, and its really fun to watch.
Really sucks gruden wasnt let go and mcvay promoted.

Rams have a good defense and a good coaching staff. They were a solid team with fucking Goff playing. We are not. A quarterback makes us better, but not good.

Jarvis Landry is a joke. Cleveland needs to cut both these lsu receivers after the season
