Guice injured again

Sources: #Redskins RB Derrius Guice had an MRI this morning on the other, non-ACL knee and he’s likely to miss some time. The hope is he does not need surgery, but the team is doing a full evaluation. He gained 18 yards on 10 carries, looking like he wasn’t himself.

WOW.

Injury prone RB, see ya later

Cursed. There really is no other explanation anymore. Cursed.

I'm done man, I can't even get up for this team anymore. This is just sad

I am convinced there is something up with our training staff/medical team. The amount of injuries we have had over the last two years just doesn't make sense

Re: Guice injured again

Feel bad for Guice but he can't be counted on anymore. We've played one game and he is already hurt again.

jamf 09-09-2019 12:52 PM

Re: Guice injured again

Guice shouldn't be a starter without earning it.
Leave AP in there and start giving Guice limited carries when he's ready.

AP will put the team on his back or die trying.
First ballot HOF.
Give him the damn ball.

Guice had knee issue in college. Which is why some think he dropped in draft.
Sound familiar, the RB we took from Stanford this year has a bad knee.
What a bargain.

Welcome back!
AP is the best back on the team, he should be playing.

I watched him all throughout his college career, he had a hyper extension but it isn't just him. We have 2 starters already going to miss multiple games

Allen is the bigger loss, and this team is done already. Jay will be fired after the season

Re: Guice injured again

I hate rooting for this team. We suck all the time and are cursed as fuck.

Let's just trade our 2nd round pick every year. Move up again into the 1st or accumulate more picks in the later rounds.

Stop DRAFTING INJURED PLAYERS YOU MOTHERFUCKERS! WE HAVE TERRIBLE LUCK. THEY WILL KEEP GETTING HURT HERE.

I dont even care about this season. It would take a miracle to finish 7-9.

Oh that's right, we missed an avalanche of injuries on top of overthrown balls, dropped passes, blown coverages and missed tackles to make it a true Redskins season...

Fuck each and everyone of our individual Skins fans' lives...

Oh, and HTTR.

Guice injured again

Who wants to keep saying this team isn’t cursed? Third season in a row that injuries are already decimating us. McCoy, Allen, Ruben Foster, Reed, and now Guice...

AP is in a place financially where he can walk away. If I was him I’d tell Gruden to go fuck himself and retire a Viking.

The medical staff didn't draft a player with an injury history. This is why Guice fell to us in the 2nd in the first place.

We need to remember that the Skins, under Allen, have continuously drafted injury-prone players who fall us do to injury. Then we draft them and claim we got some amazing "steal."

The problem isn't the medical staff - its the man making the picks.

AP is most definitely not in good place financially.

Re: Guice injured again

I would have thought AP would have started and Guice could have come in off the bench for a few careers. I think someone with an injury history needs to be slowly processed in. Just my opinion. You have a future Hall of Fame running back that was a healthy scratch? Jay Gruden, you are not on the right side of history.

MTK 09-09-2019 04:53 PM

Re: Guice injured again

If you start AP yesterday then in all likelihood Guice would have been the healthy scratch.

I dont buy it. I bitched about Jay not playing backup WRs and RBs on special teams the last few seasons and now it's a major point of emphasis for a player he reportedly wanted to cut? No, not having.
Michael Floyd, Brian Quick, Perine, and Byron Marshall were all at the bottom of the depth charts and didn't contribute on ST. We can't have a backup to a RB that never has taken a snap in the NFL and is coming off ACL surgery is complete bullshit.

Jay also doesn't keep 3 QBs yet Colt is still hanging around.
It seems like Jay is pouting about keeping AP over Perine.

Chico23231 09-09-2019 05:57 PM

Re: Guice injured again

Gruden should double down and bring in Rob Kelly for a workout

Agreed. Making AP being inactive in our situation sound like a completely normal thing is delusional IMO.

Well I’ve always wanted Junior Gallette to come back with AP on the team...they could be put out their own line of belts...and be known as the Belt Brothers

The way this clown show is has started off...

Let’s see: Jordan Reed out already before season starts, TW sitting out being a general asshole, One of the top NFL rushers last year inactive for first game, Guice hurt his other knee in the first game of season, Morgan Moses talking shit about team after the first game of season, Jon Allen missing time....yup, shit is on track so far for the Skins.

Re: Guice injured again

First ballot HOF and last years MVP for skins who is healthy and ran good on his preseason attempts gets put on inactive list is a chicken crap move by Gruden.. my bet is the locker room did not like the move at all !! I think Gruden is a lame duck coach that has done all he can do as a head coach.. I don’t fault his play calling in fact I believe he would be a good O coordinator but he has peaked as a head coach..

REDSKINS4ever 09-09-2019 06:26 PM

Re: Guice injured again

Guice's injury is on Gruden's incompetent ass....if AP plays and Gruden uses them both then it minimises Guice's chances of injury....and it probably gives the running game more production....Gruden is a retard.
