Drafting a running back in the X round.

What you say?
Too early for draft threads?
The draft is 3.5 months away.
Thats like 6 days in dog years.
So I've been sniffing around running backs (bye bye Alfmo, you served us well) and this guy has caught my eye as a mid rounder pick.

WENDELL SMALLWOOD

I think putting Kouandjio at LG and upgrading the C position would upgrade our running game. With that said, I would try to resign Alfmo to a reasonable contract, if that doesn't pan out then draft a RB. Jones more than likely will be the starter next year.

I like Alfred Morris, however his days as a Redskin are over. It is time for a fast running back who can make people miss. I would wait until the 3rd or 4th round...... unless E.Elliott slides in the first round to the Redskins pick.

I'm with you on that. Elliott has all the tools. He would be a fine 1st Round pick.

Never too early for me to talk draft. I love draft discussions.

Just heard Tarik El Bashir on the radio say absolute no way Alfred Morris comes back. Zero chance

Is there a Marshall Faulk type back available?
We need a 3 down back that can catch out of the backfield on all downs.

A guy like Faulk, Roger Craig or even Matt Forte would be a huge asset on offense and give us the ability to run any play on first and second down which is something we can't do with Morris in there.

I hope we don't give up on Matt Jones as a possibility in filling that role

Ezekial Elliott is a very good receiver.

No way we get Elliot.
He'll be gone in the first round.
I see us taking a back in the 5th or 6th....or even later.

I'd actually like to bring in Forte on a decent deal. He's older but he still has a couple yrs left

Would you take Henry if he is still there in the second round?

Yes, I know. If he falls to us, we take him as the BPA to us in Round 1.

OLB/DT/ILB/CB
CBS Sports has 14 first round ratings for those positions.
I think McClue will take one of them.
We wont get a chance to even sniff a RB in the first round.

Ditto. Let's remember that he was a rookie.
