Me too. Based on all I've read about the C-Men draft, I feel that it can be narrowed down to this: They want a Top 10 quality playmaker with Pro Bowl potential at #11. So, in this draft, I don't think the C-Men will draft any Lineman, QB, RB, LB, or TE at #11. If hybrid S/LB Hamilton should fall out of the Top 10, I think he's the player they want most and they will take him. If he doesn't fall, then I think only these players would be in consideration at #11: WR London, WR Wilson, CB Gardner, and CB Stingley. If none of these players is available, I think the C-Men will trade down, which would also be beneficial because they could make good use of more draft picks. |

I am pretty much in agreement with you. Honestly I think it would be pretty miraculous to see Hamilton fall to us at 11. He's widely thought of as top 5, and some have him as the #1 prospect, but you never know. Either way, here are my top 3 scenarios for the first round. 1. Hamilton falls to 11, and he's the pick. 2. Hamilton does not fall to 11, and another team blows them away with a trade offer. 3. Hamilton does not fall to 11, no good trade offers, and they select London or Stingley. That being said, I wouldn't hate it if they took an offensive lineman...Neal, Okwonu, Cross. The good thing about being in their position, is there will almost certainly be a player there at 11 who should have been drafted in the top 10, and who can help them out immediately. |

There aren't any other players that I would expect them to take at #11. Nevertheless, there would be many other players who could possibly start right away for WFT available in the late 1st round or the 2nd round. Therefore, they might well trade down and I don't think they'd need to be blown away by a trade offer for #11 as long as they receive a fair return in draft picks. |

Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
This synopsis is from Jim Nagy who runs the Senior Bowl and draft enthusiast. I usually see people who really know football reference him:
2022 DRAFT THOUGHTS *QB: No slam dunk franchise guys but at least a couple winning starters. *TE: A few solid starters with surplus of productive No. 2’s. *WR: Over-graded IMO. Too many pushed into first round mocks. Some good high traits options on Day 2. RB: Starter-level players will fall well into Day 3 like last year. OL: Strong at OT/OG throughout draft. Few quality true OC. DT: Better than last year (not saying much) but still thin. EDGE: Plenty pass rush talent available. Rotational/sub help into early Day 3. LB: Deeper than most years. Expect run on Day 2. DS: Juniors added quality up top. Thin on starter talent. Teams must take one early to fill immediate need. CB: Average class. Some fool’s gold in early-round mocks. A few cool traits guys that will go early Day 3. |

Warming up to this more. As a Georgia fan I saw just how talented and fast this dude is. But with Ron needing to win badly this year can he afford to draft a guy coming off an ACL and best case can't be added till mid-season? |

But with Ron needing to win badly this year can he afford to draft a guy coming off an ACL and best case can't be added till mid-season?
If they think he is the best receiver in this year's draft (which would be saying something), then I think they would be ok having him for 4.5 years. That said, I don't think he's the guy, and he'll probably be gone by 11. Now that they have a legit QB, I think this team is capable of winning (more) with the receivers they currently have anyway - especially if Samuel produces as he was expected to last year. |
Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Happy draft day fuckers!!
Someone should maybe throw up a new thread for the actual draft. I don't want BMore to make fun of me if I do. |
Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
The #1 Pick could go in so many directions. My final prediction is Derek Stingley Jr (Going out on a limb why not)
|
Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Yep, I believe we will go BPA at #11 if we don't trade down. A couple of highly-ranked players will fall down to us due to the high demand of QBs.

A compilation of draft grades.
https://twitter.com/RNBWCV/status/1520780735010988034/photo/1 Interesting look because the account shows which analysts are easy graders versus those that are stricter. Washington ranged as high as A- down to D-. Obviously this is all subjective at this point. |
Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Draft grades right after the draft are about as useful as preseason Power rankings.
I give all the teams an A for either using or trading all their available draft picks. |
