All of these ideas are horrible. The site where the defunct RFK Stadium stands is perfect in every way for a new stadium. A reasonable owner would just kiss and make up with the Mayor and the City Council and make it happen. Having a new stadium in the right location plus a good product on the field could rejuvenate the fan base.

A new stadium in Prince William County, VA would in effect cede Southern Maryland and Prince Georges, Anne Arundel, and Montgomery Counties, not to mention D.C. itself, to the Ravens.
Its not the Mayor and City Council who can make RFK happen, its Congress. Its unlikely Congress does business with a person who they are currently investigating.

Congress no longer has oversight on the District of Columbia.

DC owns RFK Stadium but the land is owned by the Federal Govt and leased to DC only for the use of RFK stadium.

Congress does have authority over DC affairs. They review all legislation before it becomes law and can modify or overturn that legislation.

My mistake. That does complicate things for a stadium in D.C., then. Nevertheless, I still believe the site itself has many advantages as the location for a new Commanders stadium. [Insert anti-Snyder rant here].

I think smaller stadiums may be the norm in the future, unless you're a team like Dallas with a huge brand.

The big downside is a 55,000 seat stadium would be too small to host a Super Bowl, unless it was expandable.

U know….fuck Maryland and fuck Va…get whatever needs to be done to go back to DC.

DC government, federal government and Snyder…the 3 Amigos of Toxicity…host a toxic summit to build the stadium there. All three are the Jedi masters of corruption, so do some back room dealings, payoff whomever…and just get this done.

Enough of Maryland and Va…even if this takes a couple years to work out federal land, zoning, etc…just get it straight.

As long as it's decent and comfortable. Seats normal people can sit in without hitting their knees on the seat in front. Learn from what they did in Atlanta and make the concessions affordable. One more thing no fucking "personnel seat Licenses"! Make the damn thing family friendly.
MetLife sucks but there are wide concourse's and plenty of bathrooms!

I agree it should be in DC but your boy Danny wants to have Betting in the Stadium and that won't be allowed in DC.

Disagreement between Bowser and Mendelson over how to acquire and develop RFK Stadium has for months prevented Norton from introducing legislation that would enable them to do so.

Capital One Arena (home of the Caps & Wiz) has the first sports book inside a pro arena so betting is already in place in DC.

Yeah, but JDR was his hire. So that's all on him.
