Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
I think the uniforms will grow on me. I like the matte burgundy helmets. Hope they do something with the socks though. The patches on the black jerseys look cool.

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
The W on the front of the helmet and the patch look terrible…as expected
The mannequin expression sums up my feeling…dead and lifeless. Terrible job Jason Wright |
Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders

Terry's face looks like he's saying "WTF is this shit?" I'm disappointed in that (for me) it's meh as a name, it was leaked, it took 2 years to come up with this, and the whole thing feels so 2nd rate. I'm not mad, probably because I expected it (no I wasn't surprised), and the 'event' screams Snyder's influence. Just have to hope the offseason delivers some surprises and takes the focus off the name etc. I'm not overly hopeful... |
Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
Funny, lots were trashing the organization for making a spectacle out of the whole name announcement, and now the announcement was underwhelming - just not enough...
Honestly, I'm fine with it all, the new name, the announcement, the unis - mostly because it's over. I like Redskins better, but it had to go. A name like that has no place in today's PC world. No name was going to be good enough, let's be honest. All the name proposals were bad in my opinion, but I am on board for a fresh start after the last 30 years of suck. Bye Felicia to all those that feel now is the time to find a new team. Chances are you weren't that much of a fan anyway. This will take some time to get used to, but as has been said ad nauseam, winning cures all. |
Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
Guess we could have had Forrest Gump make a commercial to announce the new name...maybe that would have been better.

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
I wish they had kept the old jerseys. No reason they had to change, except for the logo on the helmet, which could just have been the W.

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders
I see that dumb bitch of a mayor in DC officially put out an invitation to move the team back into town. I hope they don’t..can’t stand a lying, pandering politician who stood against the team yesterday.
Move the team to Virginia |
