[quote=Warthog;1238869]The future of this team comes with whether Snyder fires Bruce Allen or not. Without dumping BA the coaching will stay at the current poor level. Only the mediocre or very inexperienced will come to coach here with BA as the GM and VP. It’s as simple as that.

Louis Riddick. He would take the job and I think he would do a good job. Bring him in and let him bring in his choice for coach.

Yup...also zero faith in Haskins. None at all

Look at drew lock...worse oline, way worse, rookie HC and first time o coordinator.

Where are his excuses? 100 times the passer than Haskins. It’s not fucking close

well, darn, I was wrong about this narrative.
but they did let Skins march down field to cover.

This was a bad performance today by Haskins

You may be right. But then on the last drive I see Haskins drive the offense down the field for a score. Until Haskins has a unfettered OC with a real NFL offensive scheme, I think you have to give him more time. Ultimately he may end up being a RG3, Jason Campbell or Heath Shuler draft busts. But when you use a first round #15 pick you have to give him a proper shot.

[quote=Warthog;1238867]The team only opened up the play calling on the VERY LAST,desperation offensive series. The Redskins scored - imagine that!

Callahan is married to his super run-heavy offense, whether we are behind by 14 or not. We ran on 90% of the first down plays. We passed on about 80% of the third downs. That predictably is a killer for a young team like the Redskins.

Callahan's a bitcb and punted the game away at the 50.
If this team had proper coaching, we would win 4 or 5 more games even WITH THE CURRENT players.

Dwayne proved he can play through pain today which is good but there is no doubt that he really struggles with accuracy, if that doesn't improve he will not b a starter for very long.

Just when it looked like Haskins was making some progress he turns in another shit sandwich. I know he is a rookie but Lock comes in today played well on the road. We have yet to see anything from Haskins that resembles what Lock did.

Otherwise I thought these guys played hard, but they got no help from the coaches. Who the fuck is calling that an NFL offense? Unimaginative, predictable that is the Redskins offense. They should have put Case in the game if you ask me.

Do you mean when McLaughlin had to reach back to make a one handed grab cause the pass was so far behind him? That has nothing to do with the OC. He simply can't consistently hit open wr's.

I would disagree the team doesn't look good. Haskins certainly doesn't. If we had a competent QB and better coaching we win that game today. IMO there are some good pieces on this team to build around.

This team needs a QB, another good draft and hit on a couple free agents.

OK, my take moving forward..............We are fine with Haskins and our WR's & RB's ......whether through FA or draft.....or trade.........we need a pass catching TE.....we need several quality OL guys.....and we need some quality n our DB's . Remember Reuben Foster is due back and our DL is solid. If Alex Smith can't come back ,we need a backup QB not on this team now. It looks like the Giants will get Chase Young.......we better get someone to block him. Bruce Allen must go. I wouldn't be totally upset to see Callahan stay if we can't do better. I'm 50/50 on Manusky. now since the D is playing much better. I think we part ways with Trent,Reed,Norman, McCoy,Keenum, Thompson, but Vernon Davis is worth keeping.....and a few others are on the bubble.

Anyone seeing weekly improvement out of Haskins must be guzzling a fifth before the game and watching the game on a circa 1955 TV through rose colored glasses. Once again he doesn't pass 100 net yards passing till down double digits in the 4th. So far he full on sucks, real bad. He collects drive killing sacks like they are going out of style. He is pretty much the only part of the team that hasn't improved since Gruden was canned.

I said one positive per quarter. I didn't say be rah rah about Haskins. Warthog is right - none of it matters if Snyder doesn't morph into a good owner and fire BA. But if he does, then the new HC/GM duo is getting good film on Haskins so that they can decide what they have. That's better than watching Case Keenum or Colt McCoy play these last few games.

And there were several positives, Ionaiddis, McLauren, Anderson, and the D stepping up after the start of the game.

Just one positive a quarter, that's all. We all know the crap you feel towards the team, and we all feel that too.
