I'm calling it now. Allen will have an underwhelming career with the Bills. You can't start a rookie qb when he's not ready. It's a really bad idea in general to turn to a backup whose not ready just because your starter is garbage.

Alex Smith was thrown to the wolves repeatedly by Mike Nolan on a bad team, when he wasn't ready and even while injured. Nolan also questioned Alex's manhood to the press. Alex did all right in the long run, but truthfully most would not survive what he went through.

Agreed but Alex is the exception, not the rule. They drafted Kaep because he was underwhelming.

Also, they didn't draft Alex #1 to be a game manager. I like Alex and have no problem with him but I don't consider him elite, just an above-average qb who doesn't make mistakes.

As of now they still expect Allen to eventually become elite. If that o-line isn't good Allen will get shell shocked and it will stunt his development.

I remember during one of the Giants latest SB runs they kept running into back up quarterbacks during the regular season. If not a quarterback than some other stud was out. Yes it would be fun to beat Rodgers, but Ill take W’s over fun. Let him rest. Lol

A win against a backup counts as a positive in the confeeence standings just like a loss against aaron rodgers counts as a negative.

And if we see them in the playoffs in the winter i would rather it be at fedex if possible.

Bill Lazor the OC for the Bengals (one time Redskins assistant coach) will be the hot name in the off season for a coaching candidate. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Yup he is a solid coordinator, good observation...the bengals did the one thing they had to do...sure up the Oline.

This league will humble you quick...Ravens got it last night. Glad this game played out for our guys and will get a lot of talk in the dvm because of bmore proximity...good reminder to take every opponent seriously. Colts may lack some talent but we need to play together and execute as a team. Can’t be out there doing your own thing just because a scrub is lined up against you...your asking for it.

I think both the Ravens and Bengals are going to be in the playoff hunt. No shame in the Ravens loss last night, plus it was a division game.

And the Colts were up on them early in that game Sunday. I know we look like the better team on paper but this game is no "gimme."

It'll be frustrating if the Skins come out flat and unmotivated. They need to keep the same intensity week-in and week-out to be playoff material. No matter who the opponent is.

If you draft a QB that high he has to play right away. Narrow down the playbook. I have no idea why the Browns and Cards aren't doing the same thing. Allen can at least run around and make some big plays. They have no chance w/ that other guy. He is just terrible. Allen can't play worse than him.

I'm like Chico in thinking their could be a suspension coming. Not sure why on earth this would have been done after week 1.

I guess this adds to come context about the situation.

From Twitter:

I thought the Browns were high on him or was it just a smoke screen? Issues probably stem from having bad seeds in the locker room and so they decided to weed it out. If I’m being blunt, you can’t just roll into the joint any time you want. gotta light it up when it’s passed to u

Lotta good matchups this week. Games i am interested in
Minn v GB. Between Arods injury and KCs presence I am curious how low that score will be. I think it will be a shockingly low scoring game

KC v Pitt. Majones seems like he could be this years hot star. And can Ben bounce back?

Eagles v Bucs. What does tampa really have in their offense?

Giants v Dallas. Just want to see Barkeley tear Dallas up. And Eli give the game away at the end.
