Re: Coaching Changes
So I got a little more info on Jackson. Apparently he's a candidate to return to his alma mater (Purdue) to be their defensive coordinator.

Yeah, he needs to do that. I think taking Reed with him would be outstanding. |
You guys have probably heard Redskins met with Raheem Morris. Don't know anymore than that right now. He is a former DB coach and both Slowik and Jackson are on the hot seat.
Morris would be a great hire I think. |
Re: Coaching Changes
I think he would be great here, too. I wonder where they went to eat last night.

Heck of a young coaching stable with Kyle at OC and Raheem coaching DB's. |

Agreed. Plus he has ties to Bruce Allen from his days in Tampa. I'd love to bring him to run the secondary. |

Re: Coaching Changes
So what's the latest on Bill Cowher? Haven't heard his name in a while.
Another guy who I think should get a look as a HC is Mike Zimmer. I saw they were mentioning him on SC earlier this morning. He's a damn good coach and a hell of a man. His players would lay in traffic for him, too. I know all the talk is about Dalton/AJ Green, but that team isn't in the playoffs without Zimmer's D.
Love Zimmer. He was one funny, hard nosed SOB on Hard Knocks. |
Re: Coaching Changes
First thing I thought when he got canned was that I'd love to hire him. I think he could be a real solid HC down the road. He has the experience of the last two years where he was probably a little over his head but he handled it ok. Give him some time to pull back and then I think he gets a another shot at it and is successful with it. Players clearly responded to him last year. Not sure what happened this year.

Yes. I imagine Norv was in a situation where if he didn't change the staff, they'd change him. The old "either it's your head or mine and it is not gonna be mine." |
