Not to jump ahead but....
... after looking at the Seahawks schedule last night and analyzing the team, they would have been 3rd in the NFC East at best. I mean the 49ers, Cardinals and Rams are hardly competition. We beat them and the Giants would have too. Had it not been for the zillion false start penalties and the 3 missed filed goals the Giants would have won that one handily. Anyone else feel that if/when we get by the Bucs that we have an excellent chance at being in the championship game? How about a third go round and a Redskins/Giants NFC title game?

Same here. We win today, then I'll come back here. |
Re: Not to jump ahead but....
Ok. So we beat them now....everyone come back and lets talk.
I never, ever get ahead of myself like I did on this post but was just so amazed that their schedule was so thin but yet they are herelded as the cream of the NFC crop. We will need some offense but I think we take them next week. |
Re: Not to jump ahead but....

I didn't want to jinx it by talking too much about the thought of it. All of us Seattlites lost out when the game was scheduled at D.C this year and never imagined the Skins would be coming here for a playoff game! |
Re: Not to jump ahead but....
Like I said I never count my chickens....but something was telling me it was going to happen today. Wish it was a little prettier and all but next week is a whole new game. Can't see how the boys won't be ready!!

Re: Not to jump ahead but....
We won't win anything against anybody if Brunell has another day of 25 yards passing.
This defense has bailed the team out time and again. As prepared, determined and well-coached that Gregg Williams' guys are, depending solely on your defense will only hold up for so long. Thankfully, Seattle doesn't have nearly the defense Tampa Bay had. Anybody heard anything on Portis' stinger? |

LETS HIT THE MOTOR CITY!!!
I agree! Here is a post I did a day before you started this thread:
Three of the so called strong teams had really easy schedules this year, the Colts, Seahawks and Bears had cake walks this year. Colts: Texans x2 Cardinals 49ers Rams Browns Titans x2 Jags x2 That is seven guaranteed wins for a team like the Colts. The Seahwks have to be the most overrated team in the NFL. they had a similarly easy schedule: Texans 49ers x2 Cardinals x2 Titans Packers Rams x2 Eagles Those are 9 fairly easy games. Bears: Lions x2 Green Bay x2 49ers Saints Falcons While the Colts are a legitamte heavy weights, the Seahawks are not. They are in for a rude awakening.
|
Re: Not to jump ahead but....

redskins are only 5-5 against winning teams....but we did beat the eagles once before they had all of their injuries when they were still a winning team, so i guess u could say 6-5 that shows how much harder our schedule was though |
Re: Not to jump ahead but....
We're 3-1 vs the remaining playoff teams in the NFC.

Re: Not to jump ahead but....
HAIL SKINS!!!!!!!!!:food-smil :towel: GREAT WIN........What a great job by GW and the boys......who cares about the spit thing, Sean made his statement prior.

that shows how much harder our schedule was though
interesting. i am not proud of that. We do have a .500 strength of victory which is absolutly rediculous. But yes sir 6-5!!!!!! but for another reason. not the eagles. Think earlier today :) |
