2006 NFC Predictions
I was talking to a Dallas Cowgirl fan the other day arguing who is a better coach Gibbs or Parcells. His argument for Parcells was weak and I ended up guaranteeing him the the 'Skins will finish no lower than #2 in the NFC East. I really believe this now that:
Internal Reasons 1.We have Saunders designing/calling the plays. Which should put us in the top 5 in offense. (Portis, Cooley, Moss, Patten) yes I said Patten 2. G. Williams is back and has learned alot(how to influence players) from Gibbs. *** He is our future coach so the system will stay the same. 3. All of our core players are signed for awhile(and they believe) External Reasons 1. NY Giants only won the NFC East title because of an extra home game.(Eli Manning has been exposed. Stop Tiki= Stop Giants) 2. The Eagles will be better but never like they were a few years past. (They need a #1, #2, #3 receiver) The defense sucked with all of its starters. 3. Cowboys just suck. (even if they get TO, look who is throwing the ball) My Concerns of not being #1 in East 1. Jason Campbell- We dont now how this is going to pan out. (Can he handle the blitz, will he gel with the receivers, is he NFL ready) 2. We need another #2 receiver in the offseason. Patten is a #2. But we need another just for good measure. Am I wrong for making such a prediction so early or is it just me that feels we are looking at a Super Bowl in the next 2 years? ***Doesnt it feel good to see people try and JUMP on the 'Skins bandwagon since Gibbs is back.lol.lol.lol. Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
I honestly belive that we can be NFC Champions next year pending our offseason goes alright as far as the cap is concerned. I really think we have a window of opprotunity right now that we must take advantage of.

Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
all depends on if brunell can hold up/campbell is ready to start

Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
it's early to be discussing this. but i think the Eagles are still the team to beat. Donovan healthy makes Todd Pinkston look like he belongs in the NFL. And lets me honest, my little sister can take a hit more like a man than that faggot.

Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
HA! That's hilarious.
I TRULY doubt the Eagles will be a contender though. NFC East will be wide open with the Cowboys looking to be in the cellar. |
Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
16-0!!
It's January, let's talk in August. |
Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
eagles have a really good QB and a good staff, so they'll always be a threat of some kind.

Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
we will be the number 1 seed in the NFC
|
Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
I just dont see anyone stopping us from being the NFC East champs but ourselves.

They did look rather impressive against the Panthers though. |

Frankly, the Skins D played Seattle much tougher than Carolina. We're left to wonder what might have been had Carlos Rogers not dropped the INT for a 10-0 Skins lead. I'll say this - if we get a rematch, Al Saunders won't be nearly so conservative as Gibbs was in Seattle. Their weak link on defense is the secondary, and Gibbs didn't try to exploit that until they were down 2 TDs. It would be sweet if the Skins could get home field, but as bad as the NFC West is, Seattle could go 13-3 or 14-2 next year. |
Re: 2006 NFC Predictions
I think the best preparation for the playoffs is the NFC East. Once we come out no less than #2, we should have no problems in the playoffs. With our offense being wide open next year, Seattle wont have a chance.

You don't think that they'll lose Hutchinson and Alexander? |
