If they do it now they get a charge on their cap. Don't they save 7 million on this year's cap if they wait until June? That seven million could come in very handy with all this talent floating out there. I do not see Redskin1 grounded during the whole off-season! |
Re: QB Killa
yeah, instead of being 20 million over the cap, now we'd be 32 million over the cap. Hooray! and we get no compensation!

Re: QB Killa
IF they cut him it won't be this early
|
Re: QB Killa
I believe that Lavar mentioned restructuring in order to stay. Imagine how good he would look if he followed through...
|
Re: QB Killa
Wait someone explain to this to me. From what I hear, if we cut Lavar it will cost us more money than it saves. In that case wouldn't cutting Lavar put us deeper in the hole?

Re: QB Killa
Quoting USA Today who reports yesterday's news tomorrow? Arrington's contract is being renegotiated, there's no benefit to releasing him, it would cost more than it would save..

I do not see Redskin1 grounded during the whole off-season![/QUOTE] with no new cba, post june 1 cuts count fully under 2006 instead of being spread over two years. It'd cost about 800k more to cut him than to keep him without a new cba (not 12mill more like someone else mentioned). I'd be highly surprised if they eat his cap when it'd force them to release other players though. |
