What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I realize it's a little bit harder to predict with no CBA in place, but I'm curious as to what you guys think will happen to Patrick Ramsey this offseason.
Remember, this isn't what you want to happen but what you think will happen. I'll keep it a public poll so those who are right can rightfully brag about it later. |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
Ramsey and the pick we got for Gardner will be traded for John Abraham
|
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I think that he gets traded for a 5,6 or 7. There are to many names out there. I can't see Gibbs bringing back the guy when he wont want to be here.
The guy is a QB who can start and win so it would be stupid to give him an outright release. CBA will control everything. |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
4th or 5th, thats not an option though, so i put 5th/6th/7th.

What That Guy said. |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I still think he will be traded in a package for Abraham

I'd love for diehardskin's scenario simply to be even possible, but I voted "outright release" cause I don't see us being able to free up that much cap space in time. For the above scenario to happen you're basically saying that you think a new cba (or extension of present) will be agreed to by sunday night. If there's no deal we'll likely still be scrambling to to get under the cap & ramsey gets us 1.7 mil. closer as I understand it. |

Something farout man ~coughs here lol |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I say a CBA is reached (actually wouldn't be surprised if the deadline is extended even a day or two more), and Ramsey is traded for a late 3rd, early 4th.

Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I think we can squeeze a fourth out of some team. If not, I am prepared to let him suffer here for one more year. I assume we're talking about Patrick and not Ann, the star of "Throw Momma from the Train" and the "Goonies" because I think she's dead.

If a cba is reached, this sounds about right to me. I'm 50/50 on the cba, but I guess all of us are anxiously awaiting word of something. |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
i say ramsey gets traded for a 5th, 6th, or 7th. So much of this depends on the CBA though

Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
I'll be the lone thinker or Ramsey staying with the team. With Culpepper and Pennington and maybe even Drew Brees available for trade or whatever I see that Ramsey is kind of far down the list for decent starting QBs with a history of being successful.

some teams may consider ramsey a better pick up over pennington. pennington is coming off his 2nd season ending surgery. drew brees is prolly considered a better qb by most teams but he is also coming off a season ending surgery. there is definately a market for ramsey. hopefully the skins can get something decent in return for him. |
Re: What Will Happen to Ramsey?
It's Miami for a fourth round pick.
Miami, the Jets and Oakland have shown interest but Miami is the only team that interests Ramsey enough to sign an extension. The extension makes him worth more. Miami will cool on Drew Brees. Too much money, too much risk. Gibbs might have to hold out, though. Miami won't give up a pick as long as they think there's a chance that Joe will release Patrick. |
