Sunday 3/5/06: CBA Talks Officially Dead
According to Mort, the CBA talks have broken for the last and final time just hours before teams must be under the cap of $94.5 million. Well, at least we know the CBA is officially dead and we'll have news of any cuts within the next few hours. On to see plan B!

I'm listening to Sportstalk 980 and reading ESPN.com, FoxSports.com, CBSSportsline.com, WashingtonPost.com, etc. I'll be posting the cuts to the thread in the locker room "Recent Salary Cap Cuts." After all, I know everything and am always right. ;) |

Supposedly yes. There is always a chance there will be a salary cap or an extension, but it's highly unlikely given what the NFLPA and league analysrs are saying. |

finely. I'm actually really excited. not because the nfl owners and players are making a really bad business decision, but because they've made me wait and now there's finally a resolution.

Yes, but he also said it was unlikely that something would get done. Given that we are just a few hours away from the deadline and talks just ended, it's probably not going to happen. So, as far as I am concerned, the talks are dead and buried. |

Just imagine if that settlement hadn't been reached Friday allowing blackberries to still be in use?! I think instead of a draft countdown clock, we should have had a CBA clock going. That would have been cool |
