I would argue that Portis is the face and was for the entire 2005 season. And I predict that he will be gone after two seasons.

Taylor is the soul. Felony charges don't typically help a player's marketability. Taylor is the best player on the team without a doubt.

I think the face of the team is easily Clinton Portis. I'm not sure what would have happened had LaVar never gotten injured, but I think that Portis brings a personality that would have made him one of, or the, face of the team very quickly.
