Sean Taylor

Who besides me is happy to hear that Sean Taylor has shown up for voluntary workouts. This lets me know that he is serious about bringing the ruckus again for the 2006-07 season. Along side Adam Arch, we should make JACKED UP!!! every week.

I am ecstatic to see my main man grow up a little. If he matures this guy come become the best safety to play the game. I'm so exciting about the new season with the additions minus the subtractions that we have made for the better of team.

Re: Sean Taylor

Well after watching the Redskins/Cowboys clip for the 50th time today, I'm boosted that Sean Taylor is at the workouts. I'm sure he may take a trip to Miami to work out with those guys for a while if he has time with court and all. He and Archulleta working out and creating a bond early only says good things for a guy that a lot of people label as a head case. I think he's one of the best if not the best safety in the NFL today. He's a sure tackler who I think is getting ready to take more of a leadership role on this defense. He's sure to be "THE" highest paid safety in league history if he stays out of trouble this season.

Time to get a #21 jersey !!!!

HAIL !!!!!!!!

I dont even want to talk about the punk post. We're going to represent this thread for my boy "the reaper"!!!

I say he makes at least 5 Jacked ups.
2 Dallas
2 Giants
1 Philly

That's cool that he's there. Now if he can beat these charges, then play more disciplined in coverage, we need to re-up on his contract. I wish J. Peterson hadn't signed that ridiculous 18.5 ml bonus deal. ST deserves more than him, he's a game changer.

He could become the best safety to ever play the game, but Ronnie Lott will be hard to beat. Even on a team known for finesse, he was probably the greatest player to epitomize what an nfl warrior should be.

I know that there's a saying that you shouldn't live up to someone else's greatness and only live by defining your own greatness, but Sean Taylor can learn by Ronnie Lott's example and his attitude - especially about respect. Nothing signifies Lott more than getting his pinky finger cut off so he wouldn't miss any playing time. If Sean Taylor can learn to have this kind of attitude - he will no doubt be an all-time great (considering his current skills and ability). But Lott's attitude will be hard to come close to - by anyone.

I think making it to the playoffs did a lot for the team. Guys like ST see that hard work pays off, so he wants to get better in order to make it to the SB next. I'm not gonna be mad if ST comes back even better than he was his past two seasons.

I thought ST was already at ProBowl level last year but got beaten out by the more sexy pick (Roy Williams). ST has a rep as a "dirty" player now (especially after the spitting incident) and he's got to change that a little. He has the chance and the talent to become one of the greatest. This is a guy that stands out amongst the worlds best atheletes. He's bigger, faster, and hits harder than...everybody. Man, I can't wait.

I'm glad to hear he's attending, maybe he'll improve enough to be called elite this year. I guess the post article about him not attending was false.

How long though before we hear about him wanting a new contract again? If he does i think we need to lock him up for a long time and not let him walk off into free agency when that happens. Just my opinion.

after this year probably with 3 seasons under belt maybe there's a clause on his contract to revoque the final year like it usually is with rookies contracts.
He's going to ask for a lot espacially after looking at archuletas contract.

I remember hearing at one point in time that he has something like an opt out. I don't know too much about it though.

i'll buy that he's got a bad rep but Roy Williams isn't exactly a great rep himself. They make a rule because of him(horsecollar) and if Wash @ Dallas wasn't enough to make Roy never deserve another pro bowl i don't know what is. And when people are talking about elite safeties what about Rodney Harrison? He and the pats D destroyed the greatest show on turf, and def deserves mention. If ST can look at R Har, maybe we won't have to cut 1/2 the team to keep him. I don't know R Har's contract but i know the pats can't afford to overpay anyone
