More Biased Reporting!
I was reading thru NFl.com and I found Vic Carucci's editorial on top 5 teams for free agency. Of course I expected to see the Redskins on the list somewhere. I didn't. I dont know if we are paranoid or something as Redskins fans or what but it seems to be a definate agenda from the media and refs against us. Lets not forget some of the "officiating" last season that cost us some important games. Anyway I dont know how to post links but here is the
article I read. http://nfl.com/news/story/9338800 I hope that worked :) |

Re: More Biased Reporting!
There was another idiotic postshot at Snyder in Don Banks' "Bank Shots" today. In discussing how the game ball is now named "The Duke" after the late Wellington Mara, he suggested that they should name a kicking tee "The Danny." Thats just lame, plus it cheapens the meaningful gesture to Mara, who certainly deserves to have the games played with a ball named after him.

Re: More Biased Reporting!
Don't read too much into what Carucci said.
Just yesterday the SAME question was presented to John Clayton of ESPN and he listed Washington in the top 3 in Free Agency "winners". Matter of opinion that does not mean squat after the opening kick-off. |
Re: More Biased Reporting!
Mediots opinions are like the NCAA seeding process. It comes down to how you do on the court/field. Just ask the Patriots of GMU!

Re: More Biased Reporting!
This article starts out "One man's opinion ...." You have to take it that way. Opinions are biased by nature. What's your opinion? Don't you agree that your opinion is worth more than his?
You are trying to win in sportwriter opinions what has to be won on the field. That's the only way to measure how well anyone did in free agency. What "they" say is only worth the pixels used to present it on screen; and less when the season starts. Finally, you can always learn from someone else's opinion, even if you don't agree with it. There is a consensus of opinion that Cleveland had the best free agency by landing key offensive and defensive linemen. What's your thought about that approach compared to what the Skins did? Did you notice that he lists Dallas and Minnesota as second and third best. Both are on the schedule this season. How do you think we will do against them? Add to the discussion and forget the gripe. Welcome to the board, by the way. |

3. Minnesota: Offering Steve Hutchinson, the most dominant offensive guard in the game, a contract that the Seahawks refused to match was a major coup. Seattle has staged an impressive counter move of its own by presenting the same type of offer to Minnesota receiver Nate Burleson. Still, the Vikings remain ahead of the game by picking up kicker Ryan Longwell (Packers) and running back Chester Taylor (Ravens).

how did minnesota have a good offseason they lost their #1 receiver and their franchise quarterback and they overpaid for a guard, they got the ravens backup running back, and they had a small upgrade at kicker they had one of the worst offseasons in the league |

Minnesota's got a great offense. Let's hope for them that at least one of their players makes it out of week one alive. |

His problem has been that his arm dies after that in a passing offense. If he hasn't fixed that, look for another Vikings late season collapse. |

8-10 games? When BJ was here, I distinctly remember wounded ducks 2-3 times per game. Some looked like I threw them. |
