Mike Klis, of the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/link/184"]Denver Post[/URL], reports USC RB [URL="http://www.kffl.com/player/13320/nfl"]LenDale White[/URL] (hamstring) underwent an MRI on his right hamstring that showed he has a moderate tear near the pelvic region, according to Dr. Randall Eldridge, a Denver chiropractor renowned for his treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. The hamstring tear will sideline White until mid-May, which means White will not have a personal workout prior to the April 29 [URL="http://www.kffl.com/link/159"]NFL Draft[/URL] and may not be ready for the minicamp of the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl"]NFL[/URL] team that selects him. "He should recover fine," Dr. Eldridge said. "He just needs time to heal. But I could see where he would have been in considerable pain had he tried to run." White hopes the tear found in his hamstring will ease [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl"]NFL[/URL] executive concerns about his work ethic. The extent of the potential damage to his draft value, however, won't be known until April 29.

I wouldn't touch the guy with a stick. He's overweight, out of shape, and has a poor attitude. What kind of guy shows up to the friggin combine out of shape? He's a grade A idiot.

people. think about it. you tear your hamstring. you cant run, how do you stay in shape if you cant run and exercise? give the guy a break

How long prior to the combine did he have this tear? If he tore it awhile before the combine, I'll gladly give him the benefit of the doubt. But, you don't go from a physical specimen to a fat turd overnight.

He's probably going to be a good back. But, the guy sounds a little dumb and looks a little sloppy (see his gut).

it also means you'll be useless to start your career and have the possibility of re-currences (i don't know how serious it is besides the no work till may thing). It most definitely affects his stock whether its his fault or not, and not mentioning it earlier doesn't exactly make much sense either.

Willis McGahee dropped down boards due to a broken leg. As you've seen, his career is turning out alright, but he didn't get a break because he was injured, and GW was fired, in part, because he spent a pick on an IR bound RB. Guys like ramsey and benson basically lost their entire rookie years due to coming to camp late, and white's late arrival may affect him in the same way.

I presume he was injured sometime during the season and yes in a short time you can become a fat turd. For example everybody you know who played high school sports learned the art of beer bonging and didn't play college sports. These guys were outta shape by semesters end with double chins.

I am a radiology resident and hamstring tears are big injuries that can be difficult to heal. I am skeptical of his first round status at least for a team with an immediate need at rb. However he is a great talent so a team who might want to groom him a little and nurse the injury would be a great fit.

I don't doubt that hamstring tears are very serious. I also don't doubt that hamstring injuries can cause someone to get out of shape. This is just the first I've heard of a hamstring injury and the combine took place last month. Oh well.

Its an excuse.

At the combines the players go through a complete physical and nothing showed up then.

If it truelly is a minor tear, just tell the doctors "hey i have a jacked up hamstring" and thats the end of that but he didnt.

He is using this as an excuse for his poor showing at his pro day.

it is odd to not mention it till two weeks AFTER his pro day (after he already skippedd the combine work), and only after clarrett comparisions started floating around.
