My son Elijah turned 20 today.

For you young guys who may only be a handful of years older than him it may not be that big of a deal. But I just turned 44 this year and still a pretty young guy but have seen what this world can toss at you.

20 is two decades and who know what percentage of you life. How old will he live 80? 100? 50?? 25???!!!

He's a great young man and he's the best son a guy could ever want. I use to brag to my friends a few years back saying. "Yeah but I have a 16 year old son that doesn't think I'm the dumbest man on earth and will still tell me he loves me [when not around his buddies]"

Elijah has been to just about every great Redskins moment I've been a part of and the team has just been another binder in out relationship.

Next week he's off to FLA for Recording Engineering school and it will be longer and longer times between seeing him.

This is not a sad thread but a very happy thread because Elijah is ready. With the good Lord's Grace and his head tied on straght he's got a great shot in this crap shoot we call life.

Happy Birthday Son!
Note: He has me cooking pork butts all night long so he and his buddies and ladies can munch and chill over here tomorrow during his party.

Now, [if you can] Call yer Dad and tell him you love him!
lol

Have a great day guys.

Happy birthday, Elijah!

Congrats, Sammyfan for raising a good kid and a serious skins fan to boot!

I'm sure he'll be up from FLA often for skins and BBQ!

Congrats, on having such a fine young man. Interesting name choice, is there a story behind the name Elijah?

p.s. Sammy, with you being a ladies man I thought you'd have a clan of 20 year olds out there and maybe even a 30 year old :p
