Best of what's left
these are guys that have fallen a bit and are still available at the start of day two. if you don't see a position, then no one of note is left that's rated above the 4th round.
RB: leon washington (3) FB: lawrence vickers (3-4) TE: tim day (3-4) WR: demetrius williams (2) ... todd watkins (2-3) ... devin aromashodu (2-3) ... jason avant (3) ... mike hass (3) OG: max jean gilles (2) ... fred matua (3) OT: ryan o'callaghan (2-3) ... guy whimper (3) ... jonathan scott (3-4) DE: victor adeyanju (2-3) ... ray edwards (3) ... stanley mcclover (3) ... parys haralson (3) DT: gabe watson (2) ... orien harris (2-3) CB: alan zemaitis (2) ... dee webb (2-3) ... marcus maxey (3-4) FS: Ko simpson (2) ... pat watkins (2-3) ... antoine bethea (3-4) ... greg blue (3-4) SS: darnell bing (1-2) ... calvin lowry (3-4) best talent is at DT, S, and OG if you need a starter. each has 2 starters left. |

Good stuff. Thanks for all the good stuff, That Guy.

The best remaining for day two
I can't believe some of these guys got through:
1. Gabe Watson-He has effort issues, but he's so good that a team would have been perfectly justified spending a late 1st on him. 2. Max Jean-Gilles-Big guard can play 4 positions on the Oline. Should have gone in the top half of round 2. 3. Orien Harris-Run Stuffing DT could have easily gone to a team like the Giants in the 2nd...but they were too busy taking players they didn't need. 4. Darnell Bing-Not a huge Bing fan, but it goes to show that a lot of 2nd tier safeties got taken before some of the big guys. 5. Ko Simpson-Another guy with range who should have gone in the middle of round two. Safety prospects look promising for round 5 if we go there. Best of the rest: 6. Jonathon Scott, OT, Texas 7. Mark Anderson, 3-4 OLB, Oklahoma 8. Greg Eslinger, C, Minnesota 9. Ray Edwards, DE, Purdue 10. Pat Watkins, S, Florida State 11. Kai Parham, ILB, Virginia 12. Rod Wright, DT, Texas 13. Reggie McNeal, QB, Texas A&M 14. Demetrius Williams, WR, Oregon 15. Charles Gordon, CB, Kansas 16. Calvin Lowry, S, Penn State 17. Babatunde Oshiwindu, DT, Stanford 18. Fred Matua, OG, USC 19. Rob Sims, OG, Ohio State 20. Kevin Boothe, OG, Cornell 21. Ryan O'Callaghan, OT, California 22. Leon Washington, RB, Florida State 23. Anwar Phillips, CB, Penn State 24. Andre Hall, RB, South Florida 25. Mike Hass, WR, Oregon State |

I AGREE.....GOOD STUFF.....MAKES IT FUN TO SEE WHO WE MIGHT CHOOSE, ANY THOUGHTS ON REGGIE O'NEAL OUT OF A&M.....HE CAN BE VERSITLE |
Re: Best of what's left
if we can trade our 5th and 6th round pick and a 5th next year or somethign to get a 4th this year and get Orien Harris we will get a steal this late in the draft. Him with C griff and our new end will make our line a lot better

Re: Best of what's left
The two biggest shocks to me are Demetrius Williams and Darnell Bing still being on the board. I know that Bing has a knock for intelligence, but Williams should have gone ahead of guys like Hagan and Brandon Williams. Then again, I was surprised to see Stovall go so late.
Other big shocks: LenDale White went so low. Ashton Youboty lasted into the third round (he was projected as a 1st rounder on a lot of boards) Matt Leinart was still on the board at #10. Washington traded UP to get McIntosh, who I believe would have still been there at #53. Just goes to show you that draft day is far from a science. |
Re: Best of what's left
I like Greg Blue out of Georgia but we have already signed Archiletta.
That Guy: I thought Gilles was a blue chipper. Why did he fall out? |
Re: Best of what's left
gabe watson, orien harris, and max jean gilles would be excellent picks i think for us if we could somehow get into the 4th round...
|
day 2 redskins pick ups
who do you want to see here. If you were the gm who would you get?
As for me my list of potential guys are: Elvis Dumervil DE/ LB Louisville Brad Butler Tackle Virginia Gerrick McPhearson/ CB Maryland Alan Zemaitis cb/penn state Demetrius Williams wr oregon Jason Pociask TE Wisconsin Martin Nance WR Miami (OH) These are just some names of the guys I like still out there and if they come up during our pick I hope we give them a glance |
Re: Best of what's left
I would like to see us give long hard looks at Bing and Simpson in the early 4th (yes, that would require trading up).
I would also like to see us take Matt Bernstein in the 6th round. He's a massive guard-like fullback who would be a great lead-blocker on short-yardage and goal-line situations. Think a young Mike Sellers. |
Re: Best of what's left
u started the thread the same time i started mine thatguy I guess someone will just have to merge them
|
Re: Best of what's left
so what picks do we have left in this draft? I know next year we still have a 1st, 3rd, fourth, 6th, and 7th.

Lendale was the not running, not working out, and bad interviews. The others are harder to explain (leinhart was just a talent that couldn't find someone with a need at QB. matt millen had a good case, but detriot fans may have shot him for it. AZ is a nice warm (no snow) place without the wind of other places, which is a good fit). |
Re: day 2 redskins pick ups
Ko Simpson or Darnell Bing (4th - trade up)
Matt Berstein (6th) |
