Will Imoh make the cut

For all you virginia tech lovers or haters, I got a question... Will Virginia Tech RB Mike Imoh make the cut during the rookie try outs comming up. all those with in depth knowledge about this guy tell what you think of him...

Re: Will Imoh make the cut

He went to my high school (James W. Robinson in Fairfax). He was a very good high school player and holds many school records. Imoh and my younger brother were on the football team together. Apparently, Imoh was an asshole and disliked by many. Hell, even my younger sister who hardly says anything bad about anyone said he is a dick.

Lets also not forget he and Vick had that under age drinking incident. Simply put, I wouldn't want him on my team. The guy has issues and at 5'6" and 195 lbs he ain't that fast anymore (4.55 40 time). He was a speed daemon in HS and he lost a quite a bit after he balked up.

He won't make the cut.

Hey Saden, I went to Lake Braddock, yeah I remember watching Imoh play in High School, it was unreal but yeah hes too small and slow for the NFL and if hes got issues coming out of college im surprised we're taking a chance

At that height he better put on a few pounds or be ludicrously fast. 5'6 and ANY weight is small for the NFL.

rock cartwright is 5'7" i believe.

I doubt imoh makes the cut. We're stacked better (depth wise) at RB than at WR. there's just too many other equal or slightly better players with more experience and a lack of roster spots. He's not big enough to play h-back, TE, or FB, and at RB we've got portis, betts, cartwright gauranteed spots on the 53man roster. broughton (as a FB) would probably also be the #4 RB, and manuel white has a much better shot at making the team (h-back/RB) and would be used as the #5 rb if the skins needed to dig that deep.

lumsden also has more experience and is more versatile, so the practice squad spot is probably gone too.

imoh was good for us, but i dont see him as a pro player. he busts huge runs, but also loses 10 yards from time to time trying to make something out of nothing. he is a pure cutter, no power

He really isn't that fast. He's pretty powerful, but not NFL powerful.

Re: Will Imoh make the cut

if he makes the team it's as a ST player cuz he was a pretty good returner in college and Tech's not a bad school to get special teams players out of.

He won't make the cut.
He did one thing wrong at VT and thats all you ever heard about him off the field so I would not say that he has issues. Now his size might be a problem.

I feel like we're pretty strong at returner. I doubt we would want to take up a roster spot for a specialist that isn't proven in the NFL yet. For now, Im fine sticking with Randle-El, Moss, James "Look How Fast I Can Wave for a Fair Catch" Thrash (if he doesn't get cut), and Betts.

Re: Will Imoh make the cut

Imoh's "issues" are not so much off the field, though he did get into a little trouble one time. His problems are injuries & size/speed. He cuts well & will hit a small hole to pick up tough yards. Sometimes he does try to dance his way out of the backfield but he's not that explosive that he can break big plays by running sideline to sideline. His size isn't an issue, he runs bigger than he is, he's just not that durable. Seemed to always have ankle problems. he's actually quite stocky & runs well after contact.
I could see him playin a few years somewhere as a 3rd down back/returner, but I'd be surprised if that's with us.
