Bold Predictions:
1) Campbell becomes the Redskins starter this year. He will surpass Brunell. If Brunell goes down with an injury, or should I say, when Brunell goes down with an injury; he won't be able to pry the starting job from Jason Campbell.
2) Taylor Jacobs makes the squad and makes 25+ catches this year. Im still standing by my boy. Goodbye Mr. Patten. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
patten's sickness may allow jacobs to make the team again. He better start showing something though.
If brunell goes down, i see collins finishing the game and campbell starting the next one. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
He showed it today. Made the best catch and run of camp, made nice catches, crisp routes, and hes the only player that stayed after to keep working.
I have been less than impressed with Collins thus far. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
you NEED to drop your love of TJ. like spurrier, I think he's using jedi mind tricks.
they both started a bunch of games last year, but patten looked like a real receiver and TJ looked like a douche, and a crappy one at that. he's also hasn't even been as good as jimmy farris thus far. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
Tell me, when did TJ get a chance to catch a ball last year? I have the right to back any player I like, and from what I've seen in camp Jacobs has made the squad. In closing you NEED to shut the fuck up, you can read or skip my opinions, but they will stay just that, my opinions.

Re: Bold Predictions:
both are good guys no need for this.
Daseal if you say jacobs looked good today that is great. I don't have anything personally against him and may the best guy get the job and that is the way it is going to be. Gibbs has made very good decisions when it comes to player evaluation since his return. I love how jacobs stayed after to workout. That is great. That is exactly what he needs to be doing. We will all see how our boy does at the scrimmage tommorrow. Last year, he got hurt. I was devistated when he got hurt because at that time we were all worried about the WR position as it was. I don't even remember how serious it was but i do remember him going in early. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
now, now. i also think the sun may have fried your brain abit. no way jacobs makes this team. and brunell, barring injury, is the quarterback we will live(and maybe die) by

he's had plenty of chances already. and way to take a joke dude. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
Wow. This got unecessarily heated. We're in mid-season form already!
|
Re: Bold Predictions:
From what I've heard, Mike Espy is the talk of camp. Sounds to me like TJ needs to worry about him rather than Patten.
|
Re: Bold Predictions:
Thus my title, Bold Predictions. I doubt Espy makes it personally, he's shown flashes, but once you get to 4th (maybe even 3rd) receiver it comes down to major special teams contributions. Which Jacobs and Thrash give them. I see Moss, Lloyd, Randel El, Jacobs and Thrash making the squad. We'll be WR and RB heavy.

Re: Bold Predictions:
my bold prediction, Skins destroy the ravens in every way imaginable tomorrow.
THE SEASON IS HERE> WE ARE HEADED BACK TO FEDEX. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
TJ is a joke.
The guy has had his chances. He's staying late after practice because he has to. Patten should be back on Monday, and Jacobs will move one step closer to the cut list. |
Re: Bold Predictions:
Casey Bramlet will kick all sorts of ass during the scrimmage, you heard it here first....is he still on the team?
And Sultan McCullough will sign with the Redskins for two weeks in the summer and blow away the RB competition and make Joe Crisp smile |
Re: Bold Predictions:
Taylor Jacobs is garbage. He is a poor man's Kwame Brown. He no likey the bright lights! Mike Espy baby!
