Yeah, he was a Texans reject that Dallas signed in the off-season for "veteran presence". But he has been crappy all through camp and preseason and the rookie Watkins got the start over Coleman and Davis on Monday night.

The writing was on the wall for his release well before this news hit the wire....this just makes it easier on the club. Same reason we dumped Quincy Carter....substance abuse. Parcells will not tolerate it.

Well Parcells would tolerate it if Marcus Taylor and Quincy Carter weren't just borderline talents. He has in the past at least. And I'm not saying he's the only one who has. It is what it is though.

The Cowboys have ALWAYS had a record of druggies on the team, but if they are high-profile players, they keep them around.

Some things never change.
