Vikings Cut Koren Robinson

I just saw it on ESPN. I know he has had a ton of problems, but it still kinda surprised me.

I am very surprised, because he was suppose to be a comeback story gone full circle after his good special teams year in 05. Wasn't he the Viks number one guy?

Do you think we should sign him?

Not surprised about his release at all. It is like his third of fourth offense involving alcohol. I am pretty sure that he already served a 4 game suspension two years ago under the leagues substance abuse program.

Not to mention he will probably do some jail time because when he got caught this time, he fled from police ina high speed chase. And I believe that he was already on probation for the same offense.

I just hate to see such great talent wasted due to individual hard-headedness.

i think he would be a great guy to sign, since gibbs loves people with problems and bad character.

this is suprising.

Guys, just a week or two ago he got busted again for driving drunk and leading cops on a high speed chase. He's probably going to be suspended for the season by the league. There's nothing surprising about this release.

I remember I wanted to take a chance on this guy awhile back. I now know that this would be a mistake.

it's sad that somebody was given a second chance to use his naturally given talent and he wasted it. I know it sounds a bit heartless but I can only feel but so much sympathy for someone in that situation. hopefully this will completely clean him up.

Reminds me of Darryl Strawberry who is fighting his own demons. Sometimes Darryl wins; sometimes the demon.

I feel sorry for Koren and wish him well; but his own weakness is cutting his career short.

Yes, there are places to go and he's been. Addictions are serious business. If you get hooked it takes more than character to beat it. So, yes, I feel sorry for him. He doesn't need to be on a team, but he's facing a lifelong personal struggle. I wish him well.

everyday people with these demons still get up and go to work everyday. its a lifelong battle that can be won

There is so much ignorance about addiction on this board it isn't funny.

There isn't some hospital you go spend 28 days in and you are 100% cured. There isn't a pill. It isn't about desire or determination or getting the best help money can buy.

I actually expected the Vikings to make this move before they did (because he will probably be sitting out the entire year anyway).
