...forget the pre season it means squat...
Im guessing this is true league-wide. |
Re: Hope this helps
Yup, I've been telling myself deep-down that it doesn't mean anything.
That being said, I still can't stand seeing us get raped every game this preseason. I just want to see SOMETHING good. |
Re: Hope this helps
good morning tmc, and just remember your sig line...relax

Re: Hope this helps
Good morning dmek.
I'm "OK" I guess. I'm trying really hard to keep my initial pre-preseason expectations, but it's tough to think that the coaches REALLY wanted the team to lose. |

No coach wants the team to lose. They just wanted to evaluate the team in certain situations and didn't really care if they won or lost. But they did want to see those players perform well in those certain situations. And many didn't. |

The coaches & team are working on different schemes & players without regard to winning or losing the game because the game is meaningless. Right now this team is process oriented instead of results oriented. That will be reversed on 9-11. |

Re: Hope this helps
After Portis was injured, I noticed the second string players playing with some of the first team which is confusing enough to the players who are used to playing their position without having to worry about their teammates faults. I'm not convinced that Al Saunders has opened up a 700 page playbook that consists of all the running plays are up the middle, with no pitch-outs, reverses, hitch plays or half-back options. With all of the weapons we have, I can't wait until Sept.11.

Re: Hope this helps
True. I also have to remember our featured pitch-out last year that EASILY went for 8-10 yards EVERY time we ran it. I think we ran it weak-side and it seemed Portis faked people out EVERY TIME.

Re: Hope this helps
God I hope portis stays healthy.
