5 teams that are the most disappointing according to NFL Live
 

Browns, Chiefs, Lions, Bears, and of course ours truely, the Skins. As soon as I saw the topic I knew they would pick us, but what do you guys think? Do we rank, I mean if you just look at it like we played disappointing I do not see how anyone can disagree, but with the other teams they were implying that they would do bad in the regular season. They never said that about the Skins, but if that is their implication for the Skins I would disagree.

I guess I can see why they would put us on there, not that I agree with it, but are the Browns really disappointing? I would think that you can only be disappointed if you expected good things from a team.

I think they are basing it off of the preseason.

I understand that, but did they really think that the Browns would have a good preseason?

Yeah, it was definitely just based on preseason performance, and to be honest, I agree. Frankly, I was surprised that we weren't EVERYONE's pick for most disappointing since I don't think anyone expected to see the Lions, Browns, etc in Miami this February whereas the Skins were a dropped pick from competing for the Conference Championship.

Expectations for this team are high. Even the haters out there believe this is a quality football team and thus far, the preseason performance has been atrocious. I do have trust in the coaching staff and I have trust in our player's desire to improve so therefore I have to believe that what we have seen thus far is not indicative of what we will see in the regular season.

Always makes me happy when the major media dumps on us, though given what we've shown in preseason, it's hard to argue with! Of course, it don't mean nothing until the 11th, so whatever...

Predictions based on preseason play aren't worth a thing, but they weren't making predictions...they were stating who they thought was the most disappointing team thus far. Retrospective vs. predictive.

Well that is a point that I was making in my original post, they were implying that the Lions would suck in the regular season, by saying something like "Lions might not look good" or something liek that. They did that with some of the other teams, but never said anything like that about us. So I guess they were making some predictions, maybe not about us though.

I gotcha. BTW, how appropriate that it was TJ citing the Skins as his most disappointing team.

prognastication...nothing more and nothing less...what do they know? all i can say is i am real hopeful about this season

The Browns had fairly high expectations after their very active off-season. But now they're down to their 4th or 5th string Center. That's disappointing, if not downright depressing.
