Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
Courtesy of extremeskins (it's a pdf file--you'll need adobe or some other pdf reader).
http://www.extremeskins.org/TC2006/saunders82806.pdf I really like his comments--he's not happy the team isn't scoring, but he says it's all part of a process, and progress is being made. Keep the faith, people! |

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
You know what? That made me feel alot better about the way things looked Sat. I trust are coaches will get it done come sep11th.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
what is that document?
pretty much confirms what that observant ExtremeSkins-er said. maybe ES gets a bad rap. |
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
This puts everything into perspective. they are not showing the world what they have, they are just trying different things and getting people into certain situations and going from there.
I feel way more confident than I did before reading that. We have three amazing football minds on our side and I think we will see their genius on Sept. 11... Can not wait... Hail to the Redskins!!! |
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
"We have a plan going into every preseason game to see some individuals do some things that might not be conducive on a down and distance situation from a game planning stand point. If it is something we need to see, the only time we can see it is in a game environment."
That's what I was trying to say here about Brunell's post-game comments. |
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
I just hope to see the offense play a solid however long they play. SOme 1st downs, some 3rd down conversions, some points other than fg's, and some solid ball. I can't say I feel comfy with what's been seen thus far.

It's good to see a little optomism returning after our little debacle Saturday night. Keep it going, I love it. |

But after the 41-0 loss to NE Gibbs, Brunell, Rabach, Jansen weren't down and out expressing doom and gloom, they had S*** eating grins sort of during the interviews. And now Sanders statement yesterday...it was sort of freaky, like they, as a team, accomplished exactly what they wanted to accomplish during the NE game; not going for a win (or a TD) but seeing what individual players could do in certain situations. |

tafkas, do you qoute yourself often? 2 months ago everyone here was gloating over this powerhouse coaching staff we assembled. when they go out and coach we all panic. sept 11 will be the real deal. i would be willing to bet anyone we score at least 21 points. at least

dmek...are you local..meaning washington metro area..because if so i will take that bet. I am not betting on winning and losing because we will win but i dont think you are going to see 21 points...more like 14 or 17 and i am gonna step out there and say there will probably be a defensive touchdown. |

Pretty much reflects what a lot of us have been saying all preseason.

Apparently you are not understanding what Saunders is saying, in no way did he indicate that he was going to show his offense in the preseason, no matter what. Not to build confidence, not to put points on the board, and not to give the fans a warm cozzy feeling. He has a mission that he is trying to accomplish in the preseason. I am sure he knows what he is doing, and I am very sure that Gibbs knows what is going on also. Like Saunders said, he knows what the end result will look like, we just have to wait and trust him... |
