Re: Google Drops $1.65 Billion for YouTube
Yeah Mark Cuban and someone else, drawing a blank right now, last week commented that YouTube has no real value but I think that's a bit of an overstatement in and of itself. It obviously has value. Question is how will Google maximize it?

Re: Google Drops $1.65 Billion for YouTube
CBS and Showtime will be providing programming for YouTube. So that helps

Re: Google Drops $1.65 Billion for YouTube
I heard on the radio a month or two ago that Youtube was in the process of getting the rights to just about every music video made under all t he major music labels, I think that would add to the value of the site.

Re: Google Drops $1.65 Billion for YouTube
I offered them 67 cents as a downpayment, but they said they needed a better sign of good faith. 67 cents, 1.65 billlion, what's the difference?

Re: Google Drops $1.65 Billion for YouTube
I still can't believe they paid $1.6 BILLION for a hosting service with a search function. This site is 10 times more complicated to run.

A good friend of my mom used to be a pre-Kindergarten teacher and one of her students was Sergey Brin (co-founder of Google). It's funny to hear her talk about him "He's doing pretty well for himself these days. He started a company" It's like she's aware of his success but not aware of just how big Google is |

How much is your website worth?
G.D. that's a hellacious amount more than ES is worth. On a side note, apparantly my myspace page is worth 2 dollars. Woot! And since myspace.com is worth more than 9 million, i should consider myself lucky to be a part of something that big lol. Redskins.com is worth 107 grand. That's not much more than the Warpath is worth. GJ on the site Matty. |
