It's all over the news here in NY, but it was definitely an accident. It was a small single engine plane that was out of control. So far there has been two confirmed dead.

Tom Verducci from Sports Illustrated also said that Lidle was upset about Torre coming back, as if to say he did this on purpose.

Terrible tragedy. Not only for him, but everyone else involved

I doubt it was a suicide. He apparently called out a may day distress signal that he was having fuel issues

It wasn't a suicide, he was having problems with the plane.

RIP Cory, that's a huge loss not only for the Yankees but also his family.

As a Yankee fan, I'd like to give my condolences to the Lidle family.

To think our biggest worry was whether Torre would stay or go a few days ago and life slaps you right in the face.
