Penalties a major problem
How about this stat:
Washington is 29th overall in number of penalties on offense, and 32nd overall in penalty yards assessed on offense. Washington is 28th overall in number of penalties on defense, and 31st overall in penalty yards assessed on defense. Hard to win like that. |
Re: Penalties a major problem
If those stats are true then that is just a complete joke. What is wrong with this team?

Re: Penalties a major problem
Sad but true.

Re: Penalties a major problem
because of our short and easy training camp

Frustration, Frustration, Frustration!! Typical behavior of teams many times when things are not going well.

Re: Penalties a major problem
With the yardage our defense is giving up, having those stats is a recipe for a disastrous 4-12 season! HAIL from MCUSA!

Re: Penalties a major problem
Well per my earlier post, penalties don't always correlate with wins/losses. I also think that a penalty every now and then actually helps. Like I said before, it's a risk giving up the 15-yard penalty but I'd love to see Taylor (or whoever) start the game off with a hard hit over the middle just to send the message that we won't be pushed over.

Re: Penalties a major problem
Somehow I'm sure Brunell and Archuleta are to blame.

Re: Penalties a major problem
reminds me of the 2000 year. make the playoffs in 99, spend like crazy.. easy training camp...undesciplined... lots of penalties...no chemistry....QB controversy....average season.
make the playoffs 05...spend like crazy...easy training camp...undesciplined....lots of penalties...no chemistry...QB controversy...maybe less than average season. take one step forward, 3 steps back. |

We come together cause opposites attract. And you know....it ain't fiction, just a natural fact. We come together cause opposites attract. Sigh....Paula Anyhow, I could be mistaken but I think we're improving in the penalties category after that disastrous Cowboys game |
