Why Keep Watching?
So let's say they don't make the change and keep Brunell in at QB. Why would you keep watching? I know there are people here every year who say they're done with the team, not to watch them anymore but they're usually just idle words.
So, my question to all of you is why will you keep watching this team this year if there are no depth chart changes (primarily at QB)? I'll keep watching because win or lose I like to watch my team play, it's a fun diversion for me. And there are still 9 games left to the season. It's a small ray of hope but I still have it. But that's just me, why will you keep watching? |

So I can find out who to complain about next!

Re: Why Keep Watching?
Good question. I guess I'll keep watching since I spent all this money on the Sunday Ticket. But seriously, win or lose I'll watch every wretched minute. Things can only get better. Right?

It's like when a hot lookin' broad looks your way and mistakenly makes eye contact with you. Your thinking.........................maybe?????????

Re: Why Keep Watching?
Because to know there's a Redskins game on, and you're not watching it is torture - even if they're playing the way they've been playing. Just one great TD catch or run or INT can make you forget that we're having a lousy season - for a second.

I agree--it's torture, but it's OUR torture... I guess this is what it is to be a fan. Ugh. |
Re: Why Keep Watching?
I'll keep watching because it's fun. Win or lose, it's fun to watch (IMO) -- it's just more fun when they win.

Re: Why Keep Watching?
its like a bad car wreck, you just cant help but look. I honestly dont know how much I can watch this group of under achievers anymore. it is truely frustrating. to do the same stupid crap we do week in and week out. but, it is a little comical to see Rumph and Wright and Arch to try and play coverage.

Re: Why Keep Watching?
I'll keep watching as well. I feel like I'm married to this team, Till death do us part. IMO Brunell shouldn't take total blame for the lack of production. He is put in bad situations consistanly with the shoddy play calling. Yea he makes mistakes, but if a vet like him is having a hard time picking up Saunders 700 page playbook, how much better do you think J.C. will? That doesn't mean I don't think a change should be made though. They should see what they have in J.C. so they can gauge for the future.

Re: Why Keep Watching?
Studies say that in a relationship, the most "addictive" behaviour to a partner is when the other one is sometimes kind and sometimes abusive, without rhyme or reason. If this is the case, the Redskins must have a lot of people hooked.
But you may have better luck in the next two weeks, because I seem to be a jinx right now. Due to issues (a 9 week old baby along with 2 other children and a recently angry wife) I have been only able to watch part of the games. In both, I started watching when we were the farthest ahead of any part of the game and only got to watch them disintegrate. :-( The good new for you is it looks like I'm going to Mexico for a few weeks and hopefully my "hex" should lift. (I'm trying to do 10 Ironman-distance triathlons in 10 days starting the 6th of November. Wish me luck.) So have hope. Maybe the Skins can start playing football while I'm away. |
Re: Why Keep Watching?
At this point, I've kinda excepted our place this year.....
So I'll keep watching because (a) I'm a fan (b) I know how much I"ll miss Redskins football in 9 short weeks. But if we dont make the QB change.....i'll be upset |

damn! 10 triathalons in 10 days?! at age 49?! maybe you should try out for the squad ;) |
Re: Why Keep Watching?
I'm with Summo, it's kind of like a marriage. I'll watch through thick and thin.
You have to suffer through the bad to truly be able to appreciate the good... whenever the "good" decides to come along again. Besides, even when losing I still like to analyze and evaluate the team for myself and form my own ideas for what we should do to fix it. It's fun. |
Re: Why Keep Watching?
Because like all of us I'm in it to the death & I have great memories of Gibbs I.
But also because we are ONLY 2 games out of 1st. Crazy as it sounds this division is up for grabs, & we still have a shot. Granted, we need a miracle, but we should be healthy in 2 weeks. If we beat dall. its a new yr. |
Re: Why Keep Watching?
i have been watching since 1970, and it is kind of like a marriage. but in my opinion, if you bail out now, we dont want you back when times get good. and they will, at least i keep telling myself
