RIP Red Auerbach
I never was a Celtics fan but I gotta give credit where credit is due. Plus it was cool to see him driving around DC every now and then

Re: RIP Red Auerbach
I can't say I was a fan of his or the Celtics, but he's probably the best all-time b-ball coach there was. RIP.

Smoking killed him at 89? That really isn't that bad. |
Re: RIP Red Auerbach
smoking cigars, not inhaling, he died of heart attack
|
Re: RIP Red Auerbach
I actually met him back in 84 at the Garden. (I was born and raised in Boston and am a Celtics fan) He seemed like a nice guy, and looking back now, he actually didn't pass me off, he took a minute and shook my hand. Class act.
