Idiotic, Skin-Hating Journalist Watch

Don Banks is always a candidate for the douchebag journalist of the week award and this week is no different. Check out the below link.

First, Banks disputes the 15 yard penalty on Kyle Kosier for grabbing Sean Taylor's facemask. Banks believes that it should have been a 5 yard penalty and asks why it was a 15 yard penalty. Apparently, this idiot doesn't realize that grabbing a facemask and twisting the head, even for a moment, results in a 15 yard penalty.

Then, Banks takes the opportunity to remind everyone of Gibbs' record since he's been back in D.C.

Finally, Banks praises Roy Williams and implies that he is not overrated.

Please post other examples of douchebag journalists here.

Banks must not watch the games. I took so much pleasure in the plays that Roy Boy screwed up today. My neigbors participated too! HA HA HA HAH A

Theres no real reason but i hate Chris Colinsworth last year when we were making a run at the playoffs on Inside the NFL he acted like we sucked in our highlight reels, just never like him

there were so many bad calls that went in dallas' favor it is just dumb to point out the facemask, which i think was iffy call. can they call a hold on dallas? of course journalists will not point this out, and the sports stations do not show any skins highlights until the blocked kick, all dallas before that. very sad

I love how he questions our coaching staff, as if he's the first guy to wonder if there are "too many cooks in the kitchen," or whatever. Why don't you consult every other article written about the skins this year for examples of other people raising this question first.

What an f-ing retard. But it's hard to be surprised when some media dumbass starts hating on the Skins. Just gotta roll with the punches and prove them wrong and let the play do the talking.

My thought exactly. Especially since he looks like... well nevermind.

Here's a good one:

"Did that look like a guy who's really enjoying himself in his renaissance tenure in D.C.? For the record, Gibbs is now 19-21 in his first 40 regular-season games of this second stint as Redskins head coach."

Does this sound like a journalist who knows anything about Joe Gibbs or the Washington Redskins? There have been exactly three times when Gibbs has "enjoyed" the actual games. At least in the shallow sense that the writer implies. That was when the Skins were kneeling on the ball in the three Super Bowl victories.

I don't understand were this "it should have been 5 yard plenty " talk is coming from. This whole thing really grinds my gear. I mean, Taylor's head was turned 90 degrees. Kosier clearly went for the face mask to try to bring him down. Incidental face is when you have a guy in your grasp and put you hand on his face mask without tugging on it as you bring him down.

im not big on bashing williams. i normally think he is a pretty good safety. but he had a lousy game yesterday. it was almost like the skins were going after him

Well of course they were going after him, they know he's the weak link in that secondary when it comes to coverage.

Hey guys, cool it with Dawn Banks. I happen to know from conversations with her husband that she is currently going through her monthly cycle. She's just writing emotionally right now. She'll be alright in a week or so.

There are pictures floating around that clearly show his head getting wrenched to the left. Not a call really worth discussing, certainly not any worse than all the blown non-calls against us.

What's Parcell's record? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Funny that he doesn't mention Parcells' mediocre record in Dallas which is now 29-27.
