How different the game could have been

If the fumble by Brian Westbrook with 11:05 left in the third quarter had been ruled correctly and we'd scored on the drive.

Damn, I'm still convinved that we play two teams every week.

That's pretty wishful thinking that Brunell could drive the team 99 yards. We probably would have gone 3 and out, Philly would have gotten great field position, and added the field goal they got anyway, at the very least.

I think it was a fumble. Sure would have been nice. We cant get a turnover to save our lives. Does anybody else think GW's job is in trouble?

Terrible review call. Don't understand how it wasn't Redskins ball unless is was irrefutable evidence. Don't think he was touched til after ball was not in posession. Big play, but honestly our offense was pathetic trying to score. Cleveland beat ATL, Jets beat NE and Miami beat KC. We have serious weapons that those winners don't. And they score touchdowns.. No excuse for us not to produce week in and week out. Either a coach problem or Brunell throwing to checkdowns 95% of the time. Please help!

Great point. Every other underdog made a game out of it except us.

It's like the Redskins completely blew their wad against the Cowboys, and that was all they'll have for the next three weeks.

That pretty much sums it up, if I was the ref I wouldn't have overuled that fumble either, it's painfull enough for everyone to watch our offense not just fans, let alone giving them extra opportunities, that ruling probably saved us a safety, and another TD.

It was a bad call, it should have been called a fumble.

Would it have made a difference for us? No.

I don't feel like starting another thread for this, but REALLY is it the playcalling or is it Brunell? I'm almost putting like 70% on Brunell and 30% on the playcalling. I mean BRUNELL isn't the one calling screens and draws when it's third and long.

We would have still lost. We did nothing all day.

Re: How different the game could have been

at least with the horrible play calling last year our defense would pick up the slack. thats the one thing i dont understand about the coaching staff. our defense has consistantly been bad all year, so you would think the offensive coaching staff would want to open things up, to try and out score the opponents. our staff is acting like our teams is still playing with last years defense

Precisely. We'll be lucky to finish 6-10.
