The Official Thank You Thread

So here we are, at my 10,000th post. It was almost exactly two years ago that I first decided to go from lurker to poster writing under the nom de plume of Smootsmack.

I suppose you all figured I'd roll out some humorous post celebrating post 10k. Instead I've decided to thank you. That's right I'm talking to you. Thank you. This 10,000th post belongs to all of us.

I don't have enough time or space to hand out 2,000+ thank you's. But it's because of you (yes, I'm still talking to you) that I came back for post 2, post 1,000, post 5,000 and now post 10,000. Thank you for being there to share in the celebration of Redskins wins, and to commiserate with me when they lose. Thank you for listening to my opinions and stepping up to defend them when you felt it was necessary. Thank you (still talking to you, yes even you Offiss) for disagreeing with me, challenging me, and making me a smarter fan. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of other aspects of life-buying a new car, investing, etc. Thank you for making me laugh.

I never thought it possible when I wrote my first post but I've made some great friends here (Redskins_P holla at your boy!!!) and I truly believe this site has really helped me grow overall as a person (cue the violins). Some of you tick me off to no end, and I know I do the same to you but I want to thank you all the same.

I'd also like to thank God, the academy, the key grip, kraft food services, all my fans up there-I see you-, my homies in lockdown....

Thank you for always giving me a reason to come back. Time for the next 10,000

Congrats, TAFKAS. The numbers don't begin to show the quality of your posts. You are, and have been, one of the good ones.

Re: The Official Thank You Thread

I remember first discovering this site before the 2004 draft. It was my busiest semester ever (18 credits, 5 400 level classes, 2 honors courses) so I was at the computer lab working more often than not. When I needed a break this is where I went.

This really has not nothing to do with this thread, and is probably not interesting to most people here, but that's what I've written. Sorry.

Goodjob Smootsmack! Here's to the next 10,000.
