the forty niners

i would like to have everyones take( especially rexis) on antonio bryants arrest, and the niners refusal to do anything about it. rexi was spouting off a while back about how bryant does NOT have character issues. my question to redskin fans, is will the league take action?

He's still a good player so I'm glad he will be on the field. Many other players have done the same thing (or worse) so I don't know what the league will do.

Risk Vs Reward. Bryant has alot of talent.
SF is moving in the right direction.

San Fran is 2-3 players away from making a Super Bowl run in my opinion. Frank Gore is a bad ass, and they are making a run without Vernon Davis who will be a stud. The Niners need some help on D, and they are set. Norv has set up his Dallas offense with Gore, Davis, and Bryant playing Emmet, can't remember their solid TE, and Ervin. I really like the Niners chances the next 2-3 years.

If we want to run a 3-4 (which we may if this 4-3 that is working right now breaks down) then we need to add a couple pass rushing LB's and a couple of more reliable safeties and definately more depth at CB. Also I think we need a more dynamic #1 WR than Bryant. Maybe then we can start talking like we are a team capable of being successful late in the playoffs. If we were to make it this year i don't think there is much of a chance we win the wildcard game.

I think that a lot of is has to do with intangibles like team chemistry, leadership and attitude. For whatever reason, the Redskins obviously lack in all three categories whereas the 49ers (and Saints for that matter) have them and are starting to achieve. Also, what does it say about the impact that Carter and lloyd have on their team?

Great game by my Niners. Gore destroys the Rams defense (literally looking at these guys expressions late in the game you could tell they were completely demoralized after being run over for 3 and half quarters) and our defense folds on the last drive where the Rams had to drive 80 yds+ for a touchdown to WIN...:censored:

Give the Niners some credit though. They've won ALL the games they should had won up until this week, when they didn't put it away. This is at least a 7 win team, and if they get to 9, it could be good enough for the division if they beat Seattle.

success in the NFL is all about winning the games you are supposed to.

I agree. I'm very excited about our chances next year but this year we would just get destroyed in the playoffs if we were to somehow get in.

Would that be 2-3 first ballot hall-of-famers away? You are joking right? They 3rd best in their division in the weakest conference. Super Bowl???? Bryant hasn't had a good game in weeks and Davis until this week hadn't recorded a catch since week one.

Fyi...the all time leading rusher is Emmitt Smith who played for Norv.

I don't know what you were getting at with the Emmitt stat. And wasn't Vernon Davis hurt and inactive for all but the first game until this week?
