FedEx here I come!!!!
The week has finally arrived and in three more days I will be in DC to watch my beloved Skins trounce my brothers Falcons. I want to thank the warpath members with all the advice on where to stay, how to get around etc.
I think we are going to catch a Caps game on saturday to watch Alexander the great play. But Sunday is all about football. What time is a good time to be at Fedex? Where are the tailgating partys happening? Can I bring beer on the metro, or will some Skins fan be nice enough to give my bro and I a couple? Do you have to pay to get into the tailgate zone section? I can not wait until Sunday. Maybe even meet a nice Redskins girl down there... lol. |
Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
Sorry, I wanted to get this back to the top and hopefully not lost onto the second page. Any advice you can give me would be great. Thanks...... HAIL!

Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
You want to get to the stadium at least a couple of hours before the game. You can bring beer on the metro, but you can't drink it ;)
The tailgating club is for season ticket owners only. So, I suggest you try to get with some people here and meet them before the game. |
Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
My advice is to rent a car and tailgate. buy a cheap little charcoal grill...pack a cooler full of food and drink and do it up right. Your coming all that way you should have the full experience...

Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
Adams Morgan is a cool area to hit after the Caps game on Saturday night. It's like an eight to ten minute cab ride. There are some good places right downtown as well, but they are much more spread out.

:::smiles::: For some reason I'm starting to sense that this guy hasn't had much fun in his lifetime!
(Bring ya own beeah... there's no FreeeeeeLoadin' down heah!) |
Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
I have had tons of fun in my lifetime.... But since I am taking the metro I wanted to make sure I am not going to get it taken away. I would not be freeloading... if anything I would be buying them off ya. But now that I know I can bring it. I will and just find a good group to tailgate with.
Side note, what would be the closest Redskins Store to the Whitehouse (near where I am staying), I notice there are non in DC. |
Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
There's a Redskins Store (Landover) @ FedEx Field.... It's the closest (to the White House) official Redskins gear store. http://store.redskins.com/content.asp?id=2
Game Day: Parking opens 4 hours prior to game start. It's a good idea to get there early. If you're interested in watching the players come in, as well as possibly getting an autograph or two, let me know and I'll provide more details. |

What the heck do you mean where is RAT?
Why do I picture as a couple of the "Hansen brothers" coming to town? I went to the Skins/TB game a couple of weeks ago. Even though they lost, I had forgotten how much fun it was!!! Have a GREAT time CS. Tilt a LaBatts or two for me! |

Re: FedEx here I come!!!!
I fly out tomorrow morning to DC. You guys have been great with the help, ecspecially Cheerful!! Thank you so much.
I had to clear it up for you guys though.. lol. Us Canadians look just like you guys.. No Hanson Brothers.. haha. I do like hockey, but both my brother and I are die hard NFL fans, and most of our friends are as well. To us the NFL is the greatest sport there is. We normally go over to a friends house to Watch the games on His 53in TV (he has Sunday Ticket), while one of us is playing our Madden 07 season on another tv that is downstairs, and someone else is checking the internet to see who is about to score etc, and checking the stats for our Fantasy footbaal leagues. Sundays are the greatest day invented, and we are always decked out in our teams gear. So you will not really be able to teal us apart from anyone else with the exception of the Canadian Hats we will be wearing, cause it does not look like it will be a cold day there. See everyone who is going to the game in 3 days!!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!! HAIL VICTORY!!!! |
