am i the only one that thinks shell can turn the raiders mess around, if Al Davis gives him a couple of seasons?

Shell was the last consistant winning coach there. Gruden won, and Callahan took Grudens team to the bowl, but Shell got that organization back to where it should be. Al Davis just wont allow football people to run that team. People rag on Snyder, but Davis has to be the most hands on, disruptive owner in the NFL. But, i guess when Snyder get to be 100 years old, maybe they will let him off the hook like Davis.

The one defense for Davis is that, unlike just about any other owner in the league, he really is a football guy; having been both a player and a coach

They need to do some serious house cleaning in the offseason. If I were Shell I would dump guys like Moss and Porter... you just can't build a successful franchise around malcontents like them.

It's amazing how irrelevant Moss has become after joining the Raiders. I mean, he's still got the talent but when people talk about best WRs they don't really mention him anymore

The shame of that is, he isn't a young kid anymore. He is definately on the down as far as his career goes. its such a shame, he could have been one of the most dominant WR in the history of the NFL. He is a huge head case.

Moss is definitely on the downside of his career but he's still capable of being much, much more productive than he is.

moss could still put up 1000 a season, but being lazy and not focusing on technique or fundamentals ensures you'll age really fast once you start to lose a step.

that whole org. is screwed up and down though. they draft based on 40 times, they go out of their way to get bad attitudes with big money, they cheap out on coaching, and the owner still meddles (even though he may be a bit senile now).

I'm just glad he's not with the skins, I was worried when Moss was being shopped around that the skins might bite. Luckily we got the right Moss instead.
