I read his on line chat, very revealing. He stood by his sources and what motivated him to write the article.

What I found most interesting is that he doesn't think GW will be our next head coach.

I would really like to see Russ Grimm come to D.C.

I highly agree on both counts

Thing is, if you have issues with the safety coach, then you really have issues with the secondary coach. Most teams don't have that many coaches in the secondary to begin with.

It seems like all this is just starting to surface and wasn't an issue before.

You and me both. But if Cowher leaves there's a good chance Grimm may be become Pittsburgh's HC.

On the contrary, Ken Whisenhunt is probably the bet to replace Cowher.

this isnt really what i got from the article. the secondary coach gray seems to be doing his job, then the safties coach jackson tells the safeties not to listen to him and has been screwing with sean taylor. also from the previous article, jackson is just jealous of gray and just wants to screw him over

But that's my point, Jackson has way too much automony or Gray just isn't in his business enough. Either way, Gray should be on top of things more.

I also thought that Ken Whisenhunt would be the next HC of Pittsburgh should Cower step down. But Cower made Grimm an asst. head coach/offensive line for a reason. So that if Grimm were to leave he would have to be atleast a HC or have the same title. I think that Grimm and Cower may have the same philosiophy or close to the same. And I am sure that if Cower does leave the Roonies(SP) will use/take Cowers advise on his assistants, and I am sure that the Roonies(SP) know what they are gonna get from Whisenhunt and Grimm...

For the Snyder haters:
I think Snyder has totally taken a step back this year. The Six Flags deal, the movie deal with Tom Cruise. I don't think he's as hands on as he's been. Essentially, he's turned it over to Gibbs, completely, except when it comes to the pursuit of free agents. But he's only pursuing the free agents Gibbs and Gibbs' staff want him to pursue. Gregg Williams wanted Andre Carter, not Darren Howard. Gregg Williams begged Archuleta to come. That's not on Snyder. If Gibbs tells Snyder no big spending this year, then he won't spend.
Good stuff. I'm pretty sure Gibbs has learned a few things about FA. Hopefully, this offseason will be different.

That was a good chat. I too am blown away by the issues among the secondary coaches. And that is Williams fault--he obvious told Jackson you can do what you want. Indirectly, it is Gibbs fault, because he's given Williams pretty much total autonomy, but it falls on Williams first.

Grimm would be great, but I will believe it when I see it. I feel like it's going to be Saunders and Blache, which would be ok with me, but I prefer Grimm. Gibbs can make it happen, IMO--with his powers of persuasion and Snyders checkbook, we should be able to land any coach we want.

I guess we'll see. My husband's a Pittsburgh fan and we've discussed this scenario quite a bit.

Apparently Cowher is saying he's going to stay if they can work out a deal. Hopefully the timing will work out so that when Coach Gibbs leaves, Grimm will be an option for us.
