Good read, Ego. Thanks.

Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
Well done. I had secretly felt 1 and 2 would be problems before the season started, but not 5. I did not expect our D to collapse, or atleast the way it has this season. I felt the offense would take a while to learn, and in my season prediction, I had expected us to lose our home opener, I remember alot of people saying that I was crazy.
Either way, you were pretty much on the ball, but I don't think the number one reason was Brunell. It was more the defensive collapse being the number one. |

That was ego-riffic! Nice work.

Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
good read. i knew there would be an adjustment period, but i thought it would only take a couple, three games

Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
Yeah, I think your best point was how the D was due for a letdown, and you even outlined exactly how it would happen.

Quick, tell me who is going to win the SB?
Seriously, Nice job Matty! |

Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
Has anybody else realized that if NO wins the NFC South this year, there will have been a different winner in that division every year since 2003.
And the AFC West has had a different winner every year it's been in existance. I wonder what the probability of a division being won by a different team every year for 4 years straight is? |
Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
U hh well done! My problem is every year I think we are going to win the Super Bowl.
The Colts, lock it up
As long as we are hijacking this thread into a SB pick thread, I'm officially staying with my preseason Chiefs-Redskins matchup!!
Unofficially, however I'm going to say we are getting the Chargers over the Saints in the big game. I don't like picking against the Colts though. They aren't nearly as good as last year, but they likely will still have HFA, and are always dangerous with Peyton back there. You want a darkhorse AFC team? The Bengals are really hot right now. Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
the superbowl is probably the AFC championship game.
chargers, colts, bengals... someone' gotta win. |
Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
I can't believe you guys are counting out the pats. They're playing some awesome football right now and when it turns cold they should have the colt's number. they usually do.
|
Re: New Burgundy Army entry: Player Hating Revisited
Yeah you can't count the Pats out, I just think other teams are going to be hungrier.
I like the Chargers chances too, though I want to see them go to Buffalo this week and win. They always seem to have problems going cross country, and plus it's Marty we're talking about, he'll always find a way to lose the big one. |

New England has done some great things on the road this season, but at home they are 3-3 losing to the Jets, Colts, and Broncos. Against Chicago they turned the ball over 5 times in a winning effort. But the chances of winning a game vs a team as good as the Bears when you committ that many turnovers isn't good. Going foward, they don't really scare me. Plus the forecast should the Pats have to play Indy in the playoffs is about room temperature. |
