Skins/Falcons goat of the day

who's your goat?

I'm going with the coaching on this one. We had them on the ropes, and we got away from the run.

the coaching goes with the D. the defense was terrible

Why would you even put JC in there?

I think ultimately it's the D. Campbell + coaching created a problem though, but it's tough to seperate the blame between the two. Either way, it's about half what the defense was.

The D got gashed today by the best rushing team in the NFL. A part of me can't hate on that too much. But still, it's tough to win when you give up 200+.

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day

Has to be the D. They let the Falcons stay in the game and Atlanta made the big plays.

O-line was largely responsible for the 1st qtr success. Poor protection schemes and lack of help from the rbs had more to with Atlanta's success in blitzing than just the o-line's play.

Jason made mistakes, but the defense failed to give him more opportunities.
Why would you even put JC in there?
Because he was 18/38 for 217 (5.7 yards an attempt) with 2 INTs. That's not good enough to win. Brunell's worst game wasn't that bad.

It's not all his fault (his statline...the game was never in his control), but either way, he didn't get it done today. He wasn't as big as a problem as the defense, but IMO he regressed today.

Let's hope he gets back on track vs. Phily.

The defense let it go today, not just 200+ yards total rushing but the average of over 7 yards every time they rushed. Completely unacceptable. A good LB that could stuff the run could help our defense immensely

Easily the defense. Allowing 250+ yards on the ground is a way to easily lose the game, which we did.

people are too scared to admit campbell was the goat because they want to imagine he is awesome from the start of his career. he will have bumps along the way, and this was definitely one of them. in the end the defense gave up 24 points, and the offense couldnt score after the first few minutes. i voted for campbell, and im shocked that im the only one. that first int cost us the game IMO. that totally changed momentum. sure the defense let us down, but they were on the field an awful lot because of our inability to consistently complete passes

PS: to the guy asking why campbell is even on the list. 52 QB rating. 18/38 1 td 2 int. if mark brunell did the same thing everyone would be killing him right now

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day

Campbell struggled but that was a direct result of the crappy pass protection. Too often he had guys running at him totally unblocked. Not sure what anyone would expect him to do.

I don't know how anyone can blame JC when the D gave up 200+ on the ground. I guess it goes back to that blame Brunell for everything syndrome.
