Re: Babaro Euthanized You sure Dr. Vinnie Boombatz wasn't euthanized? I'd imagine the horse has some sort of clue what they are doing... If this had been any other horse, it would have been shipped to the glue factory the day after the accident at Pimlico. I have to imagine part of the reason to keep the horse alive was to build up a stock of its semen to sell... |

Re: Babaro Euthanized It's sad that Babaro couldn't make it. I was really hopping for a better ending. |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized Damn that sucks, he just had too much to overcome. |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized I think it really was a double edge sword for the owners: On one hand, contrary to what most are led to believe, they actually do care for the animal and his well being. But on the other hand, there is the business side of it. |

Sure the business side plays a part but I think in this case it was pretty small. |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized It just sucks all around. RIP |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized I think horses are smarter than we give them credit for. All animals, in fact, are probably smarter than we give them credit for. A little off topic, but anyways... Here's a cool slow-mo video of a horse galloping: Vision Research ...all four legs come off the ground! After I looked at that, I had a new respect for horses (and really all creatures). Life is amazing! Here's the site that video came from: Phantom High Speed Movie Gallery |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized Pretty sad this happened. But it was the right choice at this point, there was too much negative things happening for him to keep up. |
Re: Barbaro Euthanized Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that couldn't care less about this horse. Sure, it sucks that it had to break its leg and (eventually) go before it's time but I just don't see why it became a national hero. |
