Dwight Freeney to Skins?
 

My brother just told me that he saw somewhere that the redskins are actually thinking about trading their number 6 pick for dwight freeney but i cant find it but what you all think would that be smart or stupid i think it would be kinda stupid seeing that this years draft is full of defensive line help discuss

Well the franchise tag wouldn't prevent the Redskins from trading for him...but I pray that they don't

Why would they part with Freeney?[*]Check the stats and you will see that the numbers on Freeney aren't that different than Andre' Carter's numbers. I don't see that as worth a first round draft pick. You want a pass rusher, draft one.[/LIST]

He is 27 and a proven commodity. I'd trade a 1'st and a 3'rd rounder for him.

Are you kidding me! I would trade the 6th pick for freeney in a heartbeat. This guy is arguably the premier pass rusher in the league. You think you can find a player of his calliber with the 6th pick??????

There is no way Indy is going to let him go to get some draft pick that they dont know could replace him. Indy is keeping him.

He is worth alot more than one first rounder, and I seriously doubt Indy will part with him easily.....


The point is he will be too costly, cap and pick wise. Not worth it.

NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

1. Andre Carter and Freeney play the same position. That would mean a zillion dollars would be tied up in the RDE position.

2. Bill Pollian has stated that Dwight Freeney is not going anywhere.
