Brunell Deal Done
LaCanfora's reporting in his blog that Brunell and the 'Skins have essentially agreed on a restructured deal.
After this year, the rest of the contract will void and he'll become a free agent. LaCanfora doesn't have specific figures yet, but seems to indicate that this saves the team somewhere between $2 and $3 million. Without a restructure, we could have saved $2.1 million by cutting Brunell this year. Sounds like we're going to save a little bit more than that this year, and when his contract voids next year, we'll absorb $3.1 million in deadcap space for 2008. Re: Brunell Deal Done
To bad he is not a free agent now... that is a guy that needs to retire.

Re: Brunell Deal Done
Barring a visit to the fountain of youth he'll probably retire next year.

Re: Brunell Deal Done
Haven't heard all the details but it sounds like that bastard Brunell took a paycut on this a little. If true I don't know how we'll recover from this latest example of Brunell screwing our team.

What a great guy? Please, did he leave any money on the table? And if he did, he possibly would have taken a bigger pay cut elsewhere. Trust me, it's all business with these guys. |
Re: Brunell Deal Done
What piece of Crap. He duped us again. That worthless "no hit Takin", dump off doing, Limp arm, SOB hosed us again by re-structuring for less $$$!!! He and Gibbs are connected at the alter, or he never could have gotten a job!!!!!!!!!!!
that should pretty much cover it......right. Oh yea, one more thing. thanx, Mark |

Whoa... Brunell is a stand up guy and does NOT deserve this bashing. I cannot believe some of you. WITH him we made to the playoffs, FINALLY. I'm glad he's our back up. He knows Moss, he knows the plays... and he's a good person. |

But FRPLG is right. Some people are stupid and ignorant enough to think along those lines. They will show their colors soon. |
Re: Brunell Deal Done
Hessy, let's be real for a minute...and I'll try to leave it at this...but this guy got a huge ****HUGE***contract for one good season and a couple of very average ones. Don't tell me what a great guy he is.
If he was so great, we would have gotten his a** on the cheap from jump street! |

Trust me, it's all business with these guys.[/quote]Does it matter? We get the cap relief that we would have gotten if we cut him AND we got to keep our veteran backup. This is a great deal for the team. The Brunell blinders have the ability to skew even the simplest picture. |
Re: Brunell Deal Done
He did a better job than a lot QBs in the NFL... enough said.
