Giants Team Interested In Porter
I don't know about you guys, but i don't want to see him in a Giants uniform.
Giants | Team interested in Porter Sat, 3 Mar 2007 10:10:43 -0800 Mike Garafolo, of the Star-Ledger, reports the New York Giants have contacted the agent for free agent LB Joey Porter (Steelers). Porter's agent said he has not scheduled any visits with any teams at this time.
KFFL - Hot Off the Wire - NFL Breaking News, Notes and Information |
Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
I don't know how well he'd fit in the 4-3, but all the same I don't want to see the gints sign him either. He's been productive in a 3-4.

Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
I'm not to worried if he ends up in NY, because he will probably turn out the same way LaVar did with the Giants.
|
Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
Rather not see him in the NFC east, for what it's worth. But at this point, it's hard to get too worried about the gints. My guess is they're going to really feel the loss of Tiki, putting lots more pressure on Eli. And Eli has not responded well to pressure.

I'm not so sure about this, a game or two before he went out injured LaVar was starting to look like a real beast again! |
Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
I'm more concerned with the Giants attempt to aquire the just traded Tatum Bell from the Lions. We didn't fare well against him when he was in Denver, so I wouldn't want to see him become the Giants new Tiki.
Porter has played in a 3-4 so he would have to make an adjustment, however I would still prefer not to see him in a Giant uniform. |
Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
There was once a time where I didn't want Javon Kearse to be an Eagle but no longer. I hope the Giants do get him and break the bank on him. Also, with his mouth, he'll have problems with Coughlin's style of coaching and cause inter-team turmoil.

Anything that will cause turmoil for the G-Men I'm all for it. |

a beast? arrington had exactly 1 tackle and 1 pass defensed against the skins. and welcome to the board. i would prefer porter stay away from the NFC east. the guy can still play |

I don't think we were ranked 15th against the run the last time we played Denver which was 2005-06 season. Granted we went 0-5 against the AFC West, but we were much better against the run than 15th. I will check to make sure. |
Re: Giants Team Interested In Porter
porter can still play, though it'd be weird to see him in a 4-3...

Thanks for the welcome. I did say 'starting to look'... and during that Dallas game before he went out he looked good. And i agree not having to face a guy like Porter is a good thing, so hopefuly he doesn't sign with the giants. |
